Chapter 32 Steps
While Fang Senyan was busy laying out his plans, Mr. Jones, the Zerg Overlord, who had obtained firsthand information, wasn't idle either. He compressed his strength again, reducing his body size, and finally managed to put on another human skin. He could barely walk on the streets of New York City like a burly, normal person.
Given the number of performance artists here, Jones's abnormal behavior, combined with his stench, violent nature, and seemingly impaired intellect, caused people to avoid him, and he arrived outside 54th Avenue, number 54, without much difficulty.
However, Mr. Jones was turned away at the door. He learned that Rothberg had taken his cat for morning tea, so he immediately rushed to the Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. There, he found his target and delivered a fatal blow with his sharp tail, also snatching Prince Rothberg's handbag.
Unfortunately, the "galaxy" wasn't in the handbag. Under Fang Senyan's deliberate guidance, the unfolding plot events were almost perfectly following the Men in Black movie storyline, with two key differences:
Firstly, Agent J was probably still enduring the exclusion and sarcasm of his colleagues at the Los Angeles Police Department.
Secondly, Prince Rothberg's tall, lean bodyguard hadn't been killed. After realizing that the person he was supposed to protect was dead, he notified the Arkillian Empire of the event as quickly as possible.
The average height of the Arkillian people is about 17 centimeters, while the Zerglings they fight are shockingly large. To put it bluntly, a Zergling is the size of a horse. If it came to close-quarters combat with cold weapons, cough cough...
The reason the Arkillian Empire could suppress the Zerglings in prolonged wars was because their core technology, the "galaxy"—a subatomic energy source—held an absolute advantage. Therefore, the prince's death wasn't just the death of a single person, but rather the danger of this technology falling into the hands of the Zerglings, which would spell doom for the Arkillian people...
Two hours later, Fang Senyan leisurely arrived at the Men in Black headquarters.
From the outside, it looked more like a huge warehouse logistics center than a special agency that could override the FBI and the like. It had lead-gray exterior walls, dark green wooden switch doors, and not even a fence. Clean, tidy, and dignified.
Fang Senyan walked to the door, knocked, and then simply raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, because in just a brief moment, he sensed that at least a dozen weapons with devastating power were aimed at his vital points.
Fang Senyan covered his head with his hands and shouted:
"I'm turning myself in, and I'm bringing important information about the galaxy!"
This was America, after all, a land of freedom, and Fang Senyan's surrender earned him some points. After being fitted with handcuffs, he was led inside by two expressionless men in black.
Stepping through the door, he was met with a clean, old-fashioned, and dull corridor. A bald black man sat lazily on a stool reading a book, not even bothering to lift his eyelids at Fang Senyan's grand entrance.
On both sides of the walls were slowly rotating exhaust fans, each over three meters in diameter. The only special thing was the pattern on the ground, which showed many satellites orbiting a planet. But to the uninitiated, this could be explained as abstract art.
At the end of the corridor was an elevator. Strangely, this elevator didn't have floor selection buttons, only open and close buttons. After entering the elevator and stopping, Fang Senyan was directly escorted to what appeared to be an interrogation room, where the floor and walls were covered in large oval ring patterns.
The men in black who escorted him in told him to sit on the oval stool and then left. Not long after, a middle-aged man with a Marx-style beard walked in. He was wearing a gray striped suit and had a slightly receding hairline, typical of a man in his forties.
Although Fang Senyan was seeing this man for the first time, he already knew his identity: Z, the most special of the senior agents in the Men in Black. He was ranked last, Z, but he was actually the person in charge.
Z frowned deeply and sat down in front of Fang Senyan as soon as he came in:
"Tell me the important information you know."
Fang Senyan said simply:
"The Arkillian prince was killed. A powerful Zerg did it, and he should have taken the galaxy with him."
Z stared at Fang Senyan, as if trying to see through his thoughts:
"What exactly is the galaxy? And how did you find out about this?"
Fang Senyan smiled and said:
"I think we should talk about the misunderstandings between us first, and I need a hot coffee with cocoa and sugar. I like it sweet."
Z slammed his hand on the table and shouted angrily:
"I don't have time to talk about those damn misunderstandings! When you strangled G with your bare hands, did you ever think about misunderstandings?"
Fang Senyan shrugged and said:
"I was framed. I have firsthand video evidence to prove that I was just acting in self-defense... Please give me a chance to finish. Before I came in, I saw a faint rose-colored light flash in the sky. That should be a sign of the Arkillian warship's main gun firing a warning shot. From that moment on, I knew you would need me, so I came to surrender."
"Why would I need you?" Z said coldly.
"Mr. Z, although the individual combat power of the Arkillians is far inferior to that of the Zerg, their advantage is that once their warships take off, they can reach Earth in two hours! More importantly, the main gun is incredibly powerful," Fang Senyan said eloquently.
"The Arkillian prince was killed by a powerful Zerg warrior. Once he brings the galaxy technology back to his homeworld, the Arkillians will face the embarrassment of national subjugation or even planetary annihilation. So please don't doubt their determination to fire. Right now, I should be able to help you. Catch the Zerg killer before he leaves Earth!"
Z looked at Fang Senyan, who continued persistently:
"You still haven't answered what the galaxy is."
"A very advanced miniature reactor of cosmic subatomic energy. Getting this thing makes it easy to master this energy conversion mode. Sir, once the Zerg get this technology, the Arkillians will have no choice but to flee," Fang Senyan added.
"I will bring the galaxy back, satisfy the Arkillian warship, and let them leave. It's always better to have me, who knows everything, do this than to have your men running around like headless flies. If I'm not mistaken, the Arkillians have already issued an ultimatum: hand over the galaxy within a limited time and then destroy Earth. Mr. Z, although I regret it, I still have to say that time is running out. Right now, I'm very confident, but every minute that passes, my confidence will decrease by 5%, until it drops to zero."
Z stared at Fang Senyan intently and said disdainfully:
"Why should I believe you?"
Fang Senyan laughed and said:
"Even if I'm lying to you, what do you have to lose? I turned myself in! I also live on Earth and don't want to be turned to ashes by the Arkillian warship's main gun."
"Then, what is your purpose in doing all this?" Mr. Z finally asked.
Fang Senyan shrugged and said:
"Mr. G and I just had a misunderstanding. He drew his weapon at the wrong time, and some of my excessive behavior caused him harm. My lifelong dream is to settle down in the beautiful Big Apple, get married, have children, and then bury my ashes in the Green-Wood Cemetery in Kings County, but your wanted notice has shattered my dream. So, if I get the galaxy back, you have to declare my wanted status invalid."
"That's impossible," Mr. Z said expressionlessly.
Fang Senyan took out the photoshopped video data and said sincerely:
"I have ample evidence to prove that it was indeed a misunderstanding..."
At this moment, a woman suddenly rushed out from the inner room, pointed her finger at Fang Senyan's nose, and scolded:
"You're lying! That was a meticulously planned murder you orchestrated!"
Mr. Z, however, expressionlessly took the photoshopped disc from Fang Senyan's hand, stood up, and turned back to his office, obviously to watch the contents. Five minutes later, he came back in:
"The Arkillian warship's ultimatum gives us one hour and forty-eight minutes. I expect the next time I see you, you can bring back the galaxy to me---------I have revoked your wanted notice. It will become permanent after you succeed."
A smile appeared on Fang Senyan's face, and then he said:
"The Zerg who took the galaxy has accomplices. They will attack me and try every means to create trouble. If that's the case, then my strength alone is really limited."
Mr. Z stood up, and a serious-looking senior agent in black, none other than the second lead, L, walked out from the doorway behind him.
"We will dispatch elite agents to accompany you. That should be fine, right?"
Fang Senyan smiled and said:
"I think twenty people should be enough to fully suppress the Zerg accomplices' counterattack. They don't have to be senior agents, but they must be good soldiers."
"Let's go," Z said anxiously, looking at his watch. "Before you get in the car, you'll see the manpower you requested. They will accompany you on your mission."
After leaving the Men in Black headquarters and getting into the Cadillac, Jin Kuang finally exclaimed:
"It's unbelievable! It seems that Jike and Ritz's skills aren't as bad as they said! Even the leader of the Men in Black was fooled!"
Fang Senyan smiled:
"It has nothing to do with skill, my friend, because what he needs isn't a real video, but a step down."
