Chapter 27 Framing

Chapter 1

The reason Fang Senyan extracted three items was firstly to try and get the key to the crowbar, and secondly, he coveted the cross that sealed the vampire. Although that cross looked like it was a one-time use item... at least it achieved its intended purpose. After examining it carefully, the attributes of the other two items also appeared:

Ghost Whetstone (2 uses remaining)

Origin: Purchased from the Ghost Mountain Men of Gondor in the Lord of the Rings world (the members of the ghost army summoned by Aragorn II)

Rarity: Black

Effect: The next three attacks ignore all of the opponent's defensive abilities.

Hint: Ignoring defensive abilities includes, but is not limited to: defense conferred by attribute points, defense conferred by equipment, defense conferred by abilities, and even... certain rules of the world.

Hint: The effect of ignoring defensive abilities has priority and possesses a suppressive effect when conflicting with other abilities.

Usage Requirement: Ghost Whetstones can only be used on melee weapons.

Carrying Position: Backpack

Weight: 0.8 kg.

Evaluation: Descendants of Isildur, when will you be able to redeem the souls of the people of the mountain (meains)!

Fifty Magic Pounds: Valuable item that can be used in this world or exchanged for 200 universal points.

Fang Senyan quickly looked at these two items and then immediately rushed to the other end of the dense forest. His goal, of course, was to finish off the mountain troll that was on its last breath. When he arrived, he felt a chill in his heart because the mountain troll had disappeared. However, Fang Senyan immediately discerned from the bloodstains and tracks on the ground that the mountain troll had struggled back to its nest, half crawling and half walking.

Fang Senyan then chased after it and discovered that the once vigorous mountain troll was now on its last breath. Its eyes had been gouged out, and its right ankle was directly fractured, exposing the bone. Crawling back to its nest had only caused the wound to rupture and bleed uncontrollably. The mountain troll also didn't have any hemostatic or healing items to use, so naturally, it had lost almost all of its blood by now. There was even less chance of it recovering its health. Keep in mind that its stamina was only 18 points, and its health regeneration per minute was only 9 points. It would take at least 10 hours or more to fully restore its health.

In fact, Crowbar had been planning today's scheme for a long time. If he wasn't completely sure he could kill the mountain troll alone, how could he have attacked his own people?

Looking at the mountain troll's withering appearance, Fang Senyan finally breathed a sigh of relief. The last thing he wanted was to waste time. Once Das and Geli woke up, his plan would be completely thwarted. So, Fang Senyan drew his weapon, Ambition, and aimed it at the mountain troll's head.

The mountain troll seemed to sense the powerful threat of death and turned its head around with savage ferocity, baring its teeth and roaring, but it immediately weakened. Fang Senyan didn't want any more delays and activated Ambition's inherent ability: Rum Song, then pulled the trigger.

After the wisp of green smoke dissipated, Fang Senyan received a notification:

"You have killed a low-level legendary creature, the Mountain Troll."

"Unfortunately, your accumulated direct damage did not exceed 10% of this creature's maximum health. No Milestone Activated: The Fearless."

Fang Senyan was initially used as bait. The only damage he dealt to the mountain troll was the final headshot, so naturally, he didn't meet the 1/10 damage requirement. Despite this, Fang Senyan wasn't too disappointed that he didn't get the title. After all, he had already obtained his greatest benefit, and he was content with having made it this far. Spots of light slowly scattered from the mountain troll's corpse, eventually coalescing into a key that fell in front of Fang Senyan. The key's luster was a faint silver!

Fang Senyan took a deep breath and forcibly suppressed his excitement. He put the silver key into his chest pocket, then hurriedly dragged Crowbar's corpse over and threw the windbreaker discarded by the vampire Edward next to it. Of course, the most crucial thing was to throw the blue key he obtained from Crowbar beside the mountain troll... After carefully arranging the scene, he naturally returned to the place where he had been sent flying by the mountain troll's original home run and pretended to be unconscious. Of course, he also had to remember to smear some blood on his face.

Because he had previously signed a temporary contract, Fang Senyan was sure that Das and Geli would most likely come here to look for his "corpse" to see if they could find any benefits. Therefore, he wasn't worried about being left behind by them. Fang Senyan then waited for almost an hour before he heard heavy footsteps approaching in the distance. However, he didn't take any extra precautions, only pretending to be unconscious. Even if these two guys intended to harm him, they would have to declare war first, which gave him a 10-second buffer. Besides, with Fang Senyan's current strength, even if they had any malicious intent, they couldn't threaten him.

Das had fainted earlier, and Geli's stamina was higher and his recovery was stronger, so the two of them woke up at almost the same time. These two had also seen a lot of deceit and betrayal. When they saw the tragic scene on the battlefield and Geli recounted Crowbar's sneak attack, they naturally went along with the flow and used their imagination to complete the story:

Obviously, Crowbar wanted to take all the spoils for himself, so he ambushed everyone and left himself to face the mountain troll. Who knew that he had miscalculated? The mountain troll probably went into a "berserk" or "rampage" state before it died and launched a frantic counterattack. Therefore, Crowbar had no choice but to summon his last resort, the vampire. In the end, he was still killed by the mountain troll, and the mountain troll was eventually killed by the vampire, dropping a blue key. The vampire, of course, disappeared when its summoning time was up.

The two cursed Crowbar while arguing over the ownership of the blue key with verbal daggers. Fortunately, both sides exercised restraint and didn't cause any internal strife. Fang Senyan silently followed behind them, doing the hardest and dirtiest work - carrying the mountain troll's severed, bloody, giant head back to find Hagrid. As for Fang Senyan's trick of substituting the keys, the two of them didn't consider that possibility at all. They only lamented Fang Senyan's great luck when they mentioned the "sailor," marveling that he hadn't died after being hit by the mountain troll's crazy sweep.

After returning to the campsite, the three of them were exhausted, but they were afraid of complications, so they hurriedly took a bath in the lake, changed their dirty clothes, and urged Fang Senyan to carry the mountain troll's head with them to Hagrid to get things done.

Although Hagrid was burly and tall, the house he lived in looked quite miniature from a distance. The walls were made of Alpine granite, and the size of each block was very uniform, giving it a clumsy and thick feeling. This square little house was topped with a spire made of larch planks, which had been specially painted green, giving it a fairy-tale charm.

Behind the house was a diamond-shaped chimney that looked like a mischievous girl's cute nose, and wisps of smoke were rising from it - this meant that Hagrid hadn't left yet and was probably cooking his breakfast. The three of them hurried to the house and knocked loudly on Hagrid's sturdy oak door, causing the dust in the cracks to fall. Soon, Hagrid, wearing a mountain rat fur coat and sleeping pants with a red cornflower pattern, stood in front of them, yawning with sleepy eyes, and said in a loud, muddled voice:

"Hagrid's visiting hours are at four in the afternoon, other than that...!!! Dumbledore above, what do I see? A head of an adult mountain troll?"

Das had the highest charm among the three, so he was nominated to have a whatchamacallit with Hagrid... oh no, to communicate with him. The gist was that they were diligently completing the task entrusted by Mr. Hagrid when they suddenly noticed some unusual signs, so they went to investigate. What followed was an intense hand-to-hand combat between humans and beasts. In order to prevent the students who would arrive in a few days from being threatened, in order to prevent Mr. Hagrid's reputation as a gamekeeper from being damaged, in order to prevent Hogwarts' reputation from being tarnished, in order to...

Under Das's sharp verbal bombardment, Hagrid's face turned from green to red, then from red to black, and finally he sighed dejectedly and opened the door to his hunting cabin, saying helplessly:

"Come in and talk."

In all respects, Hagrid was an optimistic, kind, gentle, cheerful, and approachable person - but only towards the Harry Potter trio. People like Malfoy had never enjoyed such treatment. And to be honest, Hagrid's attitude towards contractors was quite ordinary. Therefore, among all the contractors, the three of them were the first to be able to step into Hagrid's hunting cabin.

The cabin wasn't very big, and it was packed full. Lanterns and double-barreled shotguns hung on the walls, as well as a few paintings of people walking around inside. The furniture in the room was all made of raw wood, with rough craftsmanship, but it all highlighted the style of being sturdy and durable. The only exquisite piece of furniture was a sofa with a brown leather cover nailed to it with thick, sturdy birch wood and a leather pillow. The smooth fur made it feel extra comfortable to sit on.

As soon as Fang Senyan sat on the sofa, he immediately felt enveloped in a comfortable sensation, like soaking in a warm bathtub. His eyelids instantly began to droop, and he wanted to fall asleep on the sofa. At this time, Hagrid came out from the inside, his thick beard still covered with a lot of charcoal ash. As soon as he saw Fang Senyan sitting on that sofa, he said nervously:

"Oh! Wait a minute, it hasn't had breakfast yet!"
