Chapter 31 Sunset Horn

Chapter 1 The Horn Leader

This cavalry general was called Lammas, a highly regarded figure even in the presence of King Théoden, and a strong contender for Princess Éowyn, demonstrating his extraordinary qualities and potential.

Though Reef's Sacred Grip hadn't been activated, he felt an indescribable chill in his heart.

Why do people fear death? It is because they know nothing of the world beyond!

Lammas was now terrified because he felt strongly that something was about to happen, yet he had no way of knowing what that would be! He could only instinctively yank on the reins, and his magnificent steed, startled, neighed shrilly and reared up.

This was a very safe and efficient method. He shrank behind the horse, so at least ninety percent of his vulnerable area was shielded by the animal, but it also meant he might soon lose his mount.

Out of nowhere, a gigantic golden palm descended, like an irresistible force of destiny, and grabbed Lammas and his steed, then yanked him away! Lammas felt like he was flying through the clouds, even dizzy beyond description, as he soared thirty or forty meters before slamming heavily into the ground.

Immediately, an indescribable heat enveloped him. Lammas felt as if several golden chains were forcibly binding his legs, making it impossible to move. He looked up, and was instantly terrified out of his wits!

He discovered that, for some unknown reason, he and his horse had been brought to the center of the jumbled stone walls. The hideous troll revealed a cruel expression, and raised the massive stone pillar in its hand, still dripping with lava, and brought it crashing down!

"No!!" Lammas screamed hoarsely. The horn at his waist flashed, forming a shield around him that actually withstood Kuru Tege's blow, but a few drops of lava splattered onto his face, and the acrid stench was instantly nauseating.

Lammas roared in agony, howling like a wolf, and desperately waved the war blade he drew from his waist, but then Zi's Force Barrier slammed into him... the Ace Grinder began to rumble again, harvesting Lammas's life with ruthless efficiency!

Seeing Lammas dragged into the enemy ranks, the knights beside him rushed over like madmen. This was when Reef and Fang Senyan stepped forward to parry and delay.

The greatest tragedy for a knight is having his speed reduced. Deprived of speed, they are, frankly, less agile than infantry. Coupled with Reef's signature "Heart-Rending Roar" and the fact that they were fighting in Fang Senyan's poison cloud, it might be difficult for the two to kill these elite knights, but holding them back was not.

Though Lammas tried his best to charge left and right, trying to escape, he was like a fish already caught in a net, ultimately unable to escape his doom.

A few minutes later, Lammas was sent flying by Blacknose's brutal sweep, his longsword snapping with a 'crack'. Half of his chest caved in, and Ronnie's venomous blade slashed across his neck! Blood immediately gushed out like mist. Lammas collapsed to his knees, his eyes wide, his hands clutching the wound on his neck, and finally died! At the same time, a mournful horn sounded in the air. Hearing this sound, one couldn't help but feel the desolation of the sunset, infinitely beautiful, but nearing dusk.

"You have killed a Horn Leader of King Théoden."

"You have gained two hundred and seventy-one and forty-one hundredths contribution points." (Legendary weighting of the killer has already been calculated)

"You have obtained a guaranteed drop item: Duskhorn."

"King Théoden heard the mournful sound of the Duskhorn, and felt a faint pang of pain in his heart. The Dark Lord is very pleased to savor this trace of the enemy's suffering, especially under the current harsh circumstances, so you will be granted a Sauron Badge."

"Oh? Looks like we caught a big fish?" Sanzai said in surprise. At this moment, the attributes of the Duskhorn were presented to everyone.

Duskhorn.

Quality: Dark Gold.

Description: This is one of the magic horns made from the skin of Fenseris, the greatest wolf king of the plains, and in the process of its creation, the vast power of the Great Horn was used, so it can effectively amplify the power of the Great Horn.

Use: Blowing it will add two buff magic effects to everyone on your team. This magic effect will be drawn from "Preemptive Strike", "Critical Strike", "Flame Weapon", and "Sharpness". This magic effect can be stacked with any bonus, but the blower will suffer a temporary halving of their maximum mana, until the buff magic effect disappears from the team members.

Introduction: There are only twelve Duskhorns in the entire kingdom of Rohan. King Théoden gives them to young talents he believes will be the pillars of the next generation, believing them to be the pillars and future of the kingdom. Owning a Duskhorn also represents the qualification to compete for the kingdom's treasure, the Great Horn.

Warning: The person who owns this equipment will be permanently regarded as an enemy by Rohan, and will be subject to periodic pursuit. However, you can also actively trigger a series of legendary horn quests. It is worth mentioning that the more Duskhorns the trigger owns, the lower the difficulty of the related legendary horn series quests. If the trigger can obtain twelve Duskhorns, then they only need to complete the lowest difficulty F-level quest to obtain the legendary horn.

Looking at the attributes of the Duskhorn, everyone looked at each other, unwilling to blow it. Fang Senyan signaled for Ramtas to step up, but Ramtas said that he could not use this thing, that it had to be a Contractor.

It seems that this is an important piece of equipment for large teams. For them, whose equipment is relatively scarce, the fact that the whole team can get two powerful buff enhancements is astonishing in terms of the team's overall combat power.

At this time, Sanzai saw something through Kuru Tege's eyes. His face suddenly darkened, and he hesitated:

"Big Brother, Aziz is in danger! Do we want to save him?"

Fang Senyan frowned, but still said decisively:

"Save him! This person cannot die, at least not in this world. If he dies, the weakness of our world's Contractors in terms of super-long-range attacks will be infinitely magnified. Perhaps we can allow the existence of shortcomings, but to be completely crushed in a certain aspect is absolutely the path to defeat!"

Speaking here, Fang Senyan glanced at the battlefield:

"If we're going to save him, Reef and I are enough. Sanzai, you let Kuru Tege use stone throwing to clear the way for us. 'Black Ears', 'Big Nose', and 'Limp Leg' don't need to take turns fighting. Fill the gaps left by our departure. If the pressure is too great, then Zi will transform. Few people know about Aldaris's Light, so save it as the final trump card. Sanzai, if the pressure is still too great after Zi transforms, then I will allow you to use that ability, after all, the concealment of your ability is very good."

Sanzai's eyes lit up:

"I can use that ability? Butterfly Effect?"

Fang Senyan glanced at him:

"Zi will decide whether you use it or not!"

Sanzai shrugged. He was still a teenager, and this deliberate affectation of maturity was quite amusing. However, a dozen seconds later, Kuru Tege roared and launched an astonishing double throw. Two boulders the size of doors flew out, covered in red-hot lava that splashed everywhere, immediately giving a group of newly arrived cavalry a head-on blow!

The most important thing for cavalry is the momentum of reckless and frantic advance. Once this momentum is lost, it is equivalent to losing the speed bonus, and the threat is naturally reduced many times. Fang Senyan and Reef seized this opportunity and advanced side by side. One threw potions, and the other used his Heart-Rending Roar to clear the way. Both were area-of-effect negative abilities that could greatly reduce the speed of enemies, and were particularly effective against knights who needed speed.

At this time, not far from Fang Senyan and the others, was the base of the Blue Light Team. This group of people was already numerous, and they had not placed their base too far forward. Therefore, relying on the trenches built earlier, the dense mines, and the dozen or so ogres they had exchanged, it was not difficult to block the organized charge of the cavalry.

More importantly, the base had been artificially built with three high grounds. On two of them were self-propelled guns summoned by two Contractors and a "Tiger" tank, respectively. On the other was a Protoss Photon Cannon that would only appear in the StarCraft world. Relying on these three heavy weapons, and the booming sound of artillery shells that naturally deterred horses, the defense was impregnable.

"They've moved." A voice suddenly sounded. Inside the Blue Light Team's base, there was still a familiar 3D image model. The images of Fang Senyan and Reef were clearly displayed on it, and on the other side was the scene of the Ace Team fighting the rangers inside the crisscrossing stone walls.

The reason why the Blue Light Team was able to obtain this first-hand information was because they had launched a satellite into the sky. This was the advantage of having a large number of people in the team: they could find people who specialized in certain skills without too much effort.

The Blue Light Team's deputy leader, Woe, said immediately:

"The two of them should be going to rescue Aziz. Zeus was right, Aziz looks like he doesn't want to be in his team anymore! There's probably some kind of secret agreement between them."

Rollett walked in from the outside and said:

"It's just been confirmed that the Ace Team obtained a Duskhorn, but they didn't use it immediately. It seems that the Duskhorn is quite useless to them."
