Chapter 8 The Butterfly Effect
Three to fourteen.
This was the cruel reality, the cruel fate.
Of course, this was only in reference to these treants who had already stepped into legend.
The reason that only three slots were designated was because the Shindorei tribe indeed had a certain numerical limit; the rules of space prevented them from bringing more powerhouses into another plane. According to the rules, based on the treants' powerful combat abilities, bringing in even one old Shindalore would be the limit.
Fortunately, while treants were incredibly powerful war creatures, they could also serve as dwellings for the elves. It was only natural that the Shindorei tribe would want to take away their private villas, for which they possessed land use permits and property certificates. However, there was a limit to exploiting loopholes, so the three slots were truly due to Fang Senyan's considerable influence.
Although being picked over like merchandise was quite unpleasant, only five treants haughtily raised their heads and left. However, the remaining nine treants, while determined to succeed, formed a temporary alliance, resolutely refusing to budge!
Unfortunately, Fang Senyan had anticipated this situation. So when Mr. Farrell, who had already been decided upon internally, leisurely stood up, tore apart the previously established alliance, and trampled it under his root-feet, shamelessly seizing a slot, all schemes and plots were crushed.
Surrounding the remaining two slots, the remaining eight treants could only toss aside all previously reached agreements. Among them, three treants, knowing they were not strong enough, or unable to accept such harsh conditions, withdrew. However, the remaining five high-level legendary treants refused to give up, no matter how stringent the conditions.
Because time was the cruelest thing in this world! Even though a treant's lifespan was ten times longer than an elf's, there was still an end. If one could not become a World Tree, one could not enter that magical realm, and one's lifespan could not be refreshed.
In their long past, these five treants had traversed almost all of Middle-earth, hoping to find another sacred site, but ultimately they ended in disappointment. They had even tried to challenge the majesty of the World Tree, but the combination of the World Tree and the elves was too vast for them to overcome.
The key point was that the magical energy of a sacred site could only supply one World Tree. This forced the treants to fight alone, unable to unite and challenge the World Tree's authority.
In the end, the entire Shindorei tribe settled down with a full four incredibly powerful high-level legendary treants. If these four legendary treants joined forces, they could fight not only Treebeard, but even the World Tree.
From a long-term perspective, even if the Shindorei tribe had bad luck, one of the four legendary treants would inevitably advance to become a World Tree. One had to know that the current World Tree, Teldrassil, was far less well-endowed and of less noble lineage than these four old fellows! A more conservative estimate was that within a century, the Shindorei tribe would possess at least three World Trees. What kind of concept was that?
A divine kingdom built using three World Trees would, first of all, be astonishing in terms of the number of citizens it could accommodate. More importantly, after the citizens died, they would have two ways to be reborn: the lower-level ones would be directly reincarnated through body snatching, while the higher-level ones would directly condense their forms around the World Tree.
These two ways to escape death were closely related to the World Tree's power. Well, to put it in terms of data, the speed at which the Shindorei tribe's people were reborn after death was 300 times that of the Middle-earth elves!
Next, naturally, the issue of the Tunguska and Chernobyl regions had to be resolved on Earth. The best way was for the E.S. Corporation to invest in some projects. The Tunguska region was easier to handle. The financially strained government was willing to earn some extra money, provided that forest resources were protected. However, they were hesitant to agree to the strict blockade system required by the E.S. Corporation, and had not been able to agree.
The Chernobyl region was only one hundred and twenty kilometers away from the Ukrainian capital. There were some concerns about designating a strict blockade zone for a foreign company in such a place. But now it was the Shindorei elves' turn to step in. These elves were skilled in charm, and all were handsome men and beautiful women. Coupled with the E.S. Corporation's financial offensive, they were almost invincible.
After this series of loose ends was taken care of, Fang Senyan finally heard another piece of good news: Sanzi had finally mastered the ability of fate. But strangely, the name of the ability Sanzi finally obtained had a unique name: the Butterfly Effect.
However, according to Sanzi, this kind of situation did occur sometimes. The skill learned by the chosen one underwent an extra mutation. Whether this mutation was good or bad was difficult to say. And the price Sanzi paid to master this ability was also extremely high, almost exhausting all of his common points and merit points.
In addition, on the Empire side, Fang Senyan was sparing no expense in getting himself promoted to Major General. Bars of zhao element were thrown out without regard for the cost, and now he had finally received concrete news: he had fought a fierce battle with the rebels in the Orion constellation, taking down seven of the enemy's interstellar cruisers. This was considered a brilliant military exploit and he had completed his promotion obligations. The normal process had now begun.
Although Fang Senyan himself didn't know when he had gone to the Orion constellation and taken down seven interstellar cruisers, that's what was written in the merit book, so Fang Senyan naturally wouldn't jump out to object. From this, one could see Prince Pombaru's ability to cover the sky with one hand and the rapid expansion of his power.
However, Prince Pombaru was, after all, still a prince, not an emperor.
Therefore, Fang Senyan was entering the procedural stage, and there was nothing he could do. If Prince Pombaru intervened, it might even have the opposite effect. The greater Pombaru's power, the more people he would offend, and the more people would come out to thwart Fang Senyan.
Fortunately, the matter reported for Fang Senyan was marked with an "urgent" sign and a "special" sign, so even if he went through the normal procedure, it would definitely be completed as soon as possible. And the important thing was that once confirmed, Fang Senyan could immediately enjoy the benefits of promotion, even while experiencing the Nightmare Space battlefield.
Thinking of this, Fang Senyan couldn't help but take out the Bloody Major General Armor, stroking the light on it, his eyes filled with a deep, profound look.
There were times when Fang Senyan wasn't confident either.
The Bloody Battlefield,
A high-intensity bloody battlefield!!
Anyone who dared to underestimate this matter would probably die without even leaving bone scraps! Especially when facing a numerical disadvantage!
So, if he could wear the Bloody Major General Armor sooner... Fang Senyan truly valued the powerful escape ability of "Musou".
At this moment, Reef suddenly walked in from outside, his brow looking somewhat relieved:
"Do you know who just came to see me?"
Fang Senyan narrowed his eyes:
"Came to see you but not me? That's rare. It seems this guy is very clear about our relationship, and has some friction with me, but is quite familiar with you. That bastard Aldaris must have caught wind of something."
Reef nodded:
"Yes, boss, what do you think?"
Fang Senyan laughed loudly:
"He wants to join, why not?"
Fang Senyan was also short of manpower at this time, and he knew Aldaris inside and out. This guy smelled the wind and wanted to join, which was a perfect match. Fang Senyan wasn't so petty.
Suddenly, a flash appeared on the table where the two were sitting, and an invitation card appeared. Fang Senyan waved his hand, and the contents immediately appeared:
"C4 area, number fourteen."
Area C was the internal resting area of the space, area 4 was the VIP area, and number fourteen was the room number. Reef looked at the invitation and smiled, saying:
"It seems that this battle has brought considerable pressure to everyone. There are still restless people coming to find you."
Fang Senyan looked at the invitation, hesitated for a moment, and said:
"I wonder who it is?"
Several names flashed through his mind in an instant, but he quickly rejected them. Since Fang Senyan and his group's strength had improved by leaps and bounds, Noah Space C rarely allowed him to encounter people belonging to the same space in the Nightmare World experience.
Reef hesitated for a moment and said:
"I guess it's the other team leaders coming to talk about cooperation."
Fang Senyan nodded noncommittally, and then slowly said:
"Are you interested in going to see this guy with me?"
Reef's interest was immediately piqued, and he said:
"Sure."
In another identical team reception room,
This place was decorated like a medieval noble's drawing room, with a large fireplace and shiny animal hides instead of carpets on the floor. Of course, what was even more conspicuous was a wall full of skulls!!
These skulls were from Aliens, Predators, Zerg, Elves, and even the steel heads of mechanicals... all showing the owner's illustrious military exploits.
The benches in the reception room were also very rough, directly sections of wooden benches, which were cut directly from large trees, without even peeling off the bark, with the annual rings still visible. A wild boar was roasting on the fire in the fireplace, sizzling with oil.
"Although we have a numerical advantage in this battle, Space C, with its recruitment and bribery, has added several powerful MTs. One can control gravity, and another is a pervert who can chew and eat equipment. If we are careless, it wouldn't be surprising if we lose."
The speaker was a burly man who looked like a bear, and on his head, he was wearing a bear's ghastly white skull!
