Chapter 91: Hideout, Kill yourself (3)

Chapter 91: Hideout, Kill yourself (3)

The killing array was activated; there was no need to hold back anymore!

The old man’s power should definitely be sealed now, and if he made one wrong move, the killing array would identify and target him!

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The High Order members rushed toward Grey and the others like an army of death, their figures blurring from sheer speed.

The world was now painted in deep grey and black from the dense abyssal energy pouring out.

Most of these High Order members were martial artists, while some were Knights and Stone Body Evolutionary Warriors, or rather, abyssal martial artists, abyssal Knights, and abyssal Stone Body Warriors.

Since they utilized abyssal energy, their evolutionary path was no longer the same as that of Blue Star. The man commanding them was likely someone at the Body Vitalizing Realm, the second rank of martial arts. The first rank was the Innate Realm, while the second, the Body Vitalizing Realm, utilized one’s vital energy to harmonize with the soul to achieve greater physical strength.

"Master Grey, get back!" Werner shouted with a worried look on his face.

With this many enemies and the killing array deployed, Grey’s combat power had significantly diminished. If he moved recklessly now, he’d be targeted by the array and attacked instantly.

He wouldn’t be able to undo the formation unless he personally reached the flag, and from the looks of it, this array was a high-level one. It would take him at least a minute or two to crack it completely.

But he didn’t care; he still had to save Grey!

"Meiling, Meiying!" Werner called out. "Protect your Grandmaster! I’ll deal with them!"

Werner’s expression was grave. Things were not looking good.

"Yes!" the twins exclaimed as they got ready. Aether surged forth from them, and immediately, the abyssal energy around dimmed slightly under the force of their Aether energy.

However, while everyone else was tense and nervous, Grey remained calm.

He turned to Werner and the twin sisters, who looked back at him anxiously, and spoke, "Why are you guys so scared?"

A wide grin formed on his face. Slowly, he raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

Bzz!

A terrifying mental pressure erupted from Grey, spreading in all four directions.

Crack!

The sound of an eggshell shattering echoed across the battlefield, and the dome that covered them vanished as if it had never existed.

The formation flags that had been functioning perfectly moments ago shattered and scattered like broken glass.

"T-The killing array..." Werner’s eyes widened in disbelief.

"The killing array disappeared!" Meiling exclaimed, dumbfounded.

"What?!" The High Order members, who had been charging forward, suddenly froze mid-step. All of them stared wide-eyed ahead,

At Grey, to be exact.

"The killing array is gone!" one of the members shouted in shock. "That kid snapped his fingers, and the array was destroyed!"

"Impossible!" The grey-robed man who commanded them looked utterly shaken. "How is this possible? That array was forged by a peak two-star formation master and refined over a long period! It can easily stop a ninth-level second ranker!"

He stared at Grey in disbelief. He had ignored this brat until now, but it was obvious that the formation was undone by him. The terrifying mental fluctuation he had felt just now, there was no mistaking it, it came from him!

"He’s not a middle-stage first ranker," the man muttered. "Possibly a peak first ranker or even a pseudo second ranker!"

"Why did you guys stop attacking?" Grey tilted his head and asked with an innocent look. "Did you suddenly gain goodwill?"

Then, a cold smile crept onto his face. "Or is it that you losers can’t even handle a single second ranker and a few first rankers? I break one tiny formation, and you start overreacting like I stole your ancestors’ graves. Pathetic. You guys are losers!"

"You!" one of the members shouted, his face twisting in anger. "You puny first ranker! How dare you insult us! We, the High Order, rule this world!"

It wasn’t just one; many others erupted in fury as well.

"Brat, you’ll pay for what you said!"

"Don’t think you’re invincible just because you broke the formation! You must’ve used a treasure to do it!"

The second ranker commanding them glared coldly at Grey. "You talk too much, brat! I’ll cut that tongue of yours off!"

Grey almost laughed out loud hearing that.

These people were far too easy to ragebait. Being insulted by a mere first ranker was something their self-proclaimed pride couldn’t tolerate.

"Everyone!" the grey-robed man bellowed. "It doesn’t matter if the array is broken or not! Since things have come to this, we have no choice but to fight with full force! Eliminate the old man no matter what!"

A dense, chilling abyssal energy erupted from him, and the other nearby second rankers also released their auras.

Now that the array was broken, there was only one thing left to do: fight with everything they had and kill them all.

It was either them or the other side.

"This..." Werner and the twin sisters still hadn’t recovered from the sudden turn of events.

They had been at an extremely disadvantageous position, but all it took was a single snap from Grey to change everything.

"Master, you truly are powerful," Werner said emotionally. "I’m grateful to be your disciple."

Breaking a high-ranked formation with just a snap of his fingers, a killing array at that!

Which two-star formation master could possibly do that?

No one. Absolutely no one, except his master!

Then, Werner stepped forward, his old face serious and determined.

"Let your disciple handle the rest for you, Master," he said solemnly.

"No need," Grey replied with a faint smile. "You don’t need to take action just yet."

As he said that, his body slowly rose into the air, floating at the same level as the second rank evolvers of the High Order.

"Grandmaster is flying!" Meiying exclaimed in shock.

"How is that possible? Only a second ranker can fly!" Meiling mumbled. "A first ranker can step on air for a short time, but it takes a huge toll on their energy!"

Hearing this, Werner glanced at his disciples and spoke slowly, "Your grandmaster has already undergone law transformation as a middle-stage first ranker."

As soon as those words fell, a powerful presence erupted from Grey amidst the twins’ stunned expressions.
