Chapter 21 An Unequal Battle

"Boss, we should be at the tiger enclosure ahead. That tiger is quite large, so I estimate we'll need to increase the dosage of the tranquilizer," the man with the bushy beard said to the horse-faced man, taking out a tranquilizer dart from behind him as they walked along the path leading to the tiger enclosure.

"Also, we'll probably need another vehicle. A regular car won't be able to fit such a big tiger," he added.

Hearing the suggestion from the bushy-bearded man, the horse-faced man nodded.

"No problem, we'll figure it out once we get it out. The zoo should have specialized vehicles for transporting animals. We'll look for one later."

As the two were talking, one of the subordinates standing nearby suddenly spoke up.

"Boss, I feel something's a bit strange."

"What's strange about it?"

"Isn't this zoo a little too quiet? I haven't heard any other animal sounds along the way."

"What's strange about that? Animals sleep at night too," the horse-faced man retorted.

"Exactly, you're just being overly cautious. We've braved the Ten Thousand Mountains, what's a little zoo to us?"

Being countered by everyone else, the subordinate immediately fell silent.

As they were talking, the iron fence of the tiger enclosure gradually came into view.

In the clear moonlight, a colossal beast lay sprawled in the center of the open space within the enclosure.

Seeing this colossal beast, the men who had been cautiously approaching suddenly became excited.

"Boss, it's the Siberian Tiger King!"

"It's even bigger than in the online videos. We're going to be rich this time."

"Yeah, how did they manage to raise such a large tiger? The zookeepers here are truly something else."

"It's almost as big as an elephant. Those wealthy tycoons in the Middle East would go crazy if they saw this."

"It seems our initial price estimate was too conservative. This tiger alone is worth at least two hundred million."

"Two hundred million!"

Upon hearing this figure, the seven poachers felt as though a mountain of gold was placed before them.

And this mountain of gold was now as good as in their possession.

"Let's do it, boss!"

Seeing the two hundred million yuan beckoning to them, the subordinates were barely able to contain their excitement.

Meanwhile, the bushy-bearded man silently raised his tranquilizer gun.

However, just as he was about to pull the trigger, a whistling sound came from the side with great speed.

Before he could react, a pebble the size of a fist struck him directly on the forehead.

"Ah!"

With a scream of pain, blood gushed from the bushy-bearded man's head.

"Who! Who the hell threw a rock at me!"

Wailing in pain, he still managed to curse loudly.

The other poachers were bewildered by the sudden event.

Where did a rock come from in the middle of the night, and why did it hit the bushy-bearded man's forehead so precisely?

As this thought crossed their minds, more and more flying stones came at them.

In a blink of an eye, all seven poachers were hit. Each stone struck their heads precisely. While not fatal, the intense pain caused them to cry out in agony.

It was at this moment that they finally realized they had been discovered and immediately raised their weapons, preparing for a fight.

Just then, a voice echoed from the darkness nearby.

"You are surrounded. Drop your weapons immediately and do not struggle futilely."

Hearing this voice, the expressions of the poachers present instantly changed.

This voice sounded exactly like the police officer who had been pursuing them before.

However, these poachers had been operating for years. After a brief moment of panic, they quickly sensed that something was amiss.

The horse-faced man suddenly pulled out a flashlight from his waist and shone it in the direction of the voice.

The next second, a brightly colored macaw appeared there.

Upon seeing the macaw, the horse-faced man immediately realized they had been tricked.

"Damn it, they're lying to us. They're not the police."

"Brothers, kill them!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the poachers unleashed their steel crossbow bolts towards the direction where the macaw had been.

Seeing this, the macaw quickly flapped its wings and flew into the sky.

At this very moment, two enormous black shadows suddenly lunged out from a nearby corner.

Before two of the poachers could even react, they were dragged into the darkness.

Following two screams, there was silence.

From the appearance of the black shadows to the dragging away of their companions, the entire process took only a few seconds, happening too quickly for the poachers to react.

By the time the horse-faced man recovered and shone his flashlight over, the two black shadows and their dragged-away companions were long gone.

This made the already on-edge poachers even more tense.

One of the more timid ones began to tremble all over.

"B-boss, what were those two shadows just now? Could they be ghosts?"

But before he could finish speaking, a gun was pressed against his forehead.

"Shut up! I'm not afraid of the police, why would I be afraid of ghosts? Besides, this is a zoo, not a graveyard. Where would ghosts come from? It's probably the animals causing trouble."

"Take out all your flashlights and illuminate the surroundings!"

As the horse-faced man gave the order, the remaining men quickly took out their portable light sources and placed them around themselves.

Instantly, the area within a ten-meter radius was fully illuminated.

To avoid being ambushed, the men slowly pressed their backs against the tiger enclosure's iron fence.

Seeing this, Yang Lin, who was hidden in the shadows, couldn't help but smirk.

"These guys aren't that stupid."

"But do you think this will stop me?"

"Li Shuangying, prepare to release the fishing net."

As soon as Yang Lin finished speaking, a massive black shadow swooped down from the clouds.

When it reached about thirty meters above the ground, it suddenly released its grip.

A huge fishing net then descended from the sky.

Before the poachers could even react, the fishing net covered them from head to toe.

"Damn it! We've walked into a trap!"

"Where did this fishing net come from? Hurry up and cut it!"

"Boss, we've fallen for it!"

In an instant, the five poachers descended into chaos.

However, after a period of frantic struggle, they quickly took out knives and began to cut through the net.

Seeing that they were about to escape, Yang Lin would never allow them such an opportunity.

"Goudan, Gousheng, go get 'em!"

"Uncle Qiang, do as we planned!"

With Yang Lin's command, the brothers Goudan and Gousheng, leading a group of Paw Patrol members, charged forward.

Meanwhile, Li Qiang, the long-armed ape, quickly leaped towards the tiger enclosure and soon arrived at its main gate.

With a few swift movements, the tightly locked gate of the tiger enclosure creaked open.

The next second, a giant, striped beast stepped out of the cage with heavy footsteps.

The poachers, who had just been pounced on by the Paw Patrol, were instantly struck with terror upon seeing this.
