Chapter 59: More Like Second Rate

Chapter 59: More Like Second Rate

Dahlia threw Bria’s corpse onto the stone, completing the set of corpses.

Garion blinked when he saw it, and a smile appeared on his face.

"Wow! To think you killed the one that got away, but still..."

Garion rubbed his chin, thinking for a moment.

"She’s a second realm cultivator, right? How can you kill her? You’re only a First Realm Cultivator."

Dahlia sat down, sighing as she felt tired, more than usual, before explaining it.

"Yes, Master. But, the reason I can kill her is that she is already low on mana and also underestimates me, so I strike with full power, ending up killing her."

Garion whistled low, then laughed in a rough, pleased way. He walked toward her and ruffled her hair.

"That’s my girl. To think that you’re already this strong and managed to kill a second realm. You’re indeed my disciple."

Dahlia smiled faintly, but that moment didn’t last long. Garion’s tone quickly turned sharp.

"Still... don’t think I’ll let it slide. She was weak already, and you got lucky this time. But how dare you go out on your own, ignoring your training?"

Dahlia pouted, crossing her arms.

"I was bored. And seeing you take all the fun made me mad. So I walked around for some leisure."

Garion let out a long sigh, rubbing the back of his neck.

"This girl... Fine. But don’t do it again. Running off on your own like that, you’ll give me a headache."

Dahlia tilted her head, a cheeky smile appeared on her face.

"Yes, Master."

Garion gave her a sharp look, then shook his head.

"Don’t ’yes, Master’ me with that grin. You’re too proud for your own good."

"I learned from you," she shot back, folding her arms.

Garion paused, then chuckled.

"Tch, Smart mouth."

He then waved her off.

"Enough. Go rest. Tomorrow we leave for Demon Gate Island."

Dahlia’s smile faded a little, replaced by a serious nod.

"Understood."

She turned and headed toward her room, packing up all her clothes and a few other special belongings.

While packing, she also grinned a little, whispering to herself.

"Demon Gate Island... Guess this will be a really interesting place."

Back outside, Garion stood alone in the courtyard.

He then gathered all the gym equipment around and put them back into he system storage.

After a while, all the gym equipment, including dumbbells, barbells, and plates, had been stored inside the system.

Garion exhaled, watching the clean yard, remembering the state it was in when he was here the first time.

He then sat down and closed his eyes.

He began to cultivate, drawing mana from the air and infusing it into his blood to circulate throughout his entire body.

Slowly, his cells began to regenerate, healing all his injuries, though the pain lingered for a bit, making him think and mutter under his breath.

"Second Realm traits, huh... They are really interesting. I wonder if I can also awaken these traits."

Garion just smirked as he continued to cultivate, feeling all his cell pools.

---

The next morning, the gray-robed old man stood alone at the edge of the city.

He had heard whispers from some elders of other sects last night.

Several Second Realm cultivators had gone after Garion, and he was curious if Garion had survived.

Was that muscle fool able to beat them? Or at least survived?

Before he could think further, a loud voice came from the distance.

"Old man! You’re up too early for someone your age!"

The gray-robed elder turned sharply. His brows shot up as he saw Garion walking towards him, grinning.

Beside him, Dahlia followed with steady steps, her arms crossed.

Neither of them was injured or even had a scratch.

The old man blinked, his eyes narrowing in stunned surprise.

"What...?"

Garion stretched his arms overhead and cracked his shoulder, smirking.

"What’s with that face? Surprised to see me so handsome and healthy?"

The old man quickly calmed himself down.

"It’s nothing. It’s just that I heard some people were targeting you? Did you beat them all?"

Garion smirked, nodding.

"Of course I did. Easy peasy."

Dahlia gave a small snort, brushing her hair back.

"You should have seen it. Master was dripping blood, but not a single them could survive after a single hit."

Garion quickly waved her off.

"Oi, don’t go exaggerating it too much. I just beat them with my body."

The old man ignored them and focused his eyes on Garion.

"Strange... Your mana still feels like the First Realm. How can you kill them all?"

Garion tilted his head and chuckled.

"What you’re sensing is mana, not my muscle. Remember, I’m a body cultivator."

He tapped his chest twice, then his bicep.

"This is the real difference. My strength doesn’t need me to shout. It just works."

The old man paused before laughing a little.

"Oh... right, I almost forgot. You truly are a strange one, Garion."

Garion grinned wider.

"I’ll take that as a compliment."

Dahlia rolled her eyes, but smiled faintly, her hands now on her hips.

"Master, don’t get cocky. You almost broke your ribs yesterday."

Garion just laughed her off, tapping his healed hips.

"It’s nothing but a structure. See, my body has already healed. Nothing to worry about."

The old man let out a long sigh.

"Very well. Since you two are still alive, we should not waste time. You are already preparing yourself, right?"

Garion slapped his hands together.

"Of course. I have been itching for this. Come on, old man, show us the way."

The elder nodded.

"Follow me."

They walked down a small slope and soon Garion frowned when he saw a strange ship resting on the grass.

It was shaped like a narrow boat but fitted with runes that glowed faintly along the sides.

"Uh... what’s this? A land boat?"

The old man gave him a look and smiled.

"This is a flying ship. The sea around Demon Gate Island is too dangerous for normal sailing, so we fly over it."

Garion’s eyes widened. He slapped his thigh and laughed.

"A flying boat? Now this is interesting."
