Lu Yuwen nodded earnestly, like a hardworking student willing to learn, “Things are almost ready. Once renovations are completed, I can officially open for business. For the first month before opening, I’ll focus on promoting within the local area.”
“Hmm, good idea.” Su Dad agreed, and then turned toward Su Mom to say, “When Xiaolu’s restaurant opens, you should bring your group of old friends to help support the place.”
Su Mom replied, “Like I’d need you to remind me? I’ve already made plans with them.”
She mostly wanted those women to know that her daughter wasn’t clinging hopelessly to Li Li. Her daughter, too, had someone pursuing her!
Thinking about her daughter, Su Mom couldn’t help but ask, “Xiaolu, coming over so late—is it because things have been busy these days? Have you seen my Manman recently?”
Lu Yuwen lightly shook his head, paused for a moment, and then hesitated before saying, “She… has been really busy these days, she doesn’t even have time to sit down for dinner.”
