Chapter 276 Discussion

Not only Bob, but all those who chose to leave, like Gaton, were ruthlessly assassinated by Bai Qi.

However, these people did not receive the same treatment as Bob; their assassins were all Shadow Ninjas.

Do not think Bai Qi is cruel.

Rather than trusting whether these people could keep their mouths shut, Bai Qi preferred to use external force to silence them completely.

Only by silencing them completely could Bai Qi prevent Zheng Qi from exposing the Lost Continent through some unexpected event. Bai Qi could then use this continent as capital, accumulate strength, and use it as a springboard to invade other worlds.

After dealing with these matters, Yong Huo turned and entered the darkness. When he emerged again, he was in an underground base.

This underground base was enormous. As far as the eye could see, everyone was actively preparing. Soldiers in military uniforms and mutated creatures were sorting boxes of weapons and ammunition, loading them onto trucks. There were also heavy tanks, military aircraft, and even new types of aircraft not equipped by the US military.

The mutated creatures, needless to say, came from the Cadmus Biological Laboratory of Bai Qi's kingdom, while these human armies were Savage's private forces.

Besides its immense size, this underground base was more importantly extremely secret. It was jointly built by Savage and Bai Qi, deep underground, completely encased in lead, undetectable even by Superman's x-ray vision. The entire underground base had no entrances or exits, completely isolated from the outside world. Entry was only possible through the Shadow Kingdom as a transit point.

Not long after Yong Huo arrived at the base, a Black officer in a military uniform approached him holding a file bag.

"What is it?"

Yong Huo looked at the Black officer. The officer was startled for a moment, then recovered and said, "Under the adult's orders, all preparations must be completed by 8 PM tonight. The army will depart for the designated location through the sonic boom channel at 8:30. You are one of the responsible parties and need to know this."

He handed the file bag to Yong Huo and turned to leave.

As he turned to leave, the Black officer's face showed undisguised disgust. It was clear that he was very repulsed by working alongside these non-human creatures.

As a mutated creature with psychic abilities, Yong Huo could clearly sense the psychic fluctuations emanating from the Black officer. However, he felt no anger at all; perhaps he had grown too accustomed to it and had become numb.

Yong Huo glanced at the file in his hand and sighed helplessly, muttering to himself, "Alas, when will mutated creatures be able to live openly under the sun."

So he said, but Yong Huo knew it was impossible, at least not while humans still ruled the world.

As a mutated creature with extremely high intelligence, Yong Huo, through the internet and other means, had a deep understanding of the surface world and humans, even though he had never truly lived there. That extreme xenophobia made it impossible for humans to accept any alien race other than their own.

Take Atlantis, for example. They possessed technology far surpassing that of humans, and the physical strength of each Atlantean far exceeded that of surface humans. Yet, they could only remain hidden in the ocean, their living space constantly shrinking due to human persecution of the seas.

Moreover, Yong Huo couldn't understand why his father, who possessed the ability to destroy heaven and earth, would cooperate with these dirty humans.

That's right, just as the Black officer and other humans had a strong aversion to mutated creatures, mutated creatures equally detested humans.

Except for Yong Huo, all mutated creatures were incapable of speaking human languages. However, among themselves, they had a set of communication methods. Goblins, small in stature and weak in strength, could even form a vast network of telepathic communication, a psychic network, enabling all mutated creatures within range to communicate freely regardless of space.

From the moment Yong Huo arrived, his mind had joined the psychic network. The most abundant information in the network was the aversion to human actions and suppressed murderous intent.

"My fellow kin."

The horns on Yong Huo's head glowed red, and his voice echoed in the ears of every mutated creature.

Upon hearing Yong Huo's words, all the mutated creatures stopped their work and looked up.

"What's wrong with them?"

Two human soldiers saw the mutated creatures' unusual behavior. One said, "Are they planning a rebellion?"

The other dismissed it, saying, "Forget it. Rebellion from them? I think they've just malfunctioned."

"Why? Why do we have to cooperate with these disgusting monkeys?"

"Exactly, with our power, killing these trash is easy."

"I can kill five with one punch."

"My friends," Yong Huo said again, "Father created us, and we must trust Father. Cooperation with humans is only temporary. Under Father's leadership, we will definitely go to the surface and obtain our own living space. Everything for Father!"

"For Father!"

It's no wonder mutated creatures have simple minds. They not only recognized Bai Qi as their father but were also easily swayed by Yong Huo's few insincere words.

Such rhetoric from Yong Huo would not even fool a primary school child in human society, but it was very effective with these mutated creatures.

While the mutated creatures and human soldiers were actively preparing for war, on the other side, the five elders of the Gatekeeping clan, the old chieftain, and the Witch were also engaged in a heated discussion.

"Impossible!" an elder said indignantly. "The ancestral laws must not be broken! How can we allow these outsiders to step onto this sacred land? This is a blasphemy to our ancestors! Blasphemy!"

"But if we don't, how can we withstand the invasion of external creatures with our strength?"

"Who knows if there are even any external creatures after all these years."

One elder said, "Years ago, the two angelic lords saved our clan from dire straits. Later, they entered the Gate of Destruction and sealed it. Perhaps the external creatures behind the gate were all killed by the two angelic lords? We..."

Before this elder could finish, the elder beside him rudely interrupted, "Are you questioning the Witch's prophecy?!"

"No, that's not what I meant."

The elder's expression immediately changed, and he nervously glanced at the Witch, hastily explaining.

The Witch's status in the Gatekeeping clan was undeniable. Let alone being an elder, even the chieftain had to show her respect. And those madmen beside her... if his words got out, he might not live to see the sunrise the next day.

"It's alright," the Witch said magnanimously, waving her hand. "I know what you're thinking. You think I'm old and useless, senile."

"No, no, no, esteemed Witch, that's not what I meant. Please don't think that."
