Chapter 236 Bogang Reappears

Finally, the most dreaded event occurred, and a colossal figure appeared before everyone.

This behemoth was none other than Pogan, the mountain demon, initially sealed away.

Pogan's arrival wreaked havoc on the entire stadium. Everything within sight, be it person or object, was devoured without exception.

In a short while, half the stadium had vanished into Pogan's maw.

"Daddy!"

Amidst the chaos, Chenlong, cradling Jade, dashed out just before the stadium collapsed and reunited with his father outside.

"What in the world is going on? Why is the mountain demon here? Wasn't it sealed?"

Upon seeing Chenlong, his father immediately demanded an explanation.

Before Chenlong could speak, Jade interjected, "It was that big black bat. Pogan came out of its portal."

"What? That's impossible," his father exclaimed. "A single portal can only allow one demon to pass through. How could Pogan emerge from another demon's portal?"

"It's true, Daddy, it's like this..."

Jade quickly recounted the events.

Listening, his father's brows furrowed. "The demon that appeared this time must be Xiemu, the sky demon, possessing the terrifying power to control natural disasters. Like the Holy Lord, he is also a renowned dark magic sorcerer among demons. Pogan's appearance is undoubtedly linked to him."

Without hesitation, his father handed a flute to Chenlong. "We must seal Xiemu now. Perhaps that will take Pogan with him."

As he spoke, his father made to rush back into the stadium. Chenlong quickly stopped him. "Daddy, it's too dangerous."

"What could be more dangerous than a demon?"

"Uh... Daddy," Jade tugged at his father's sleeve. "I'm afraid we can't seal Xiemu."

She gestured towards the sky.

Time rewinded a few minutes.

Having returned from hell, Pogan immediately began to feast, and a simple stretch nearly demolished the entire hall.

Xiemu dared not linger. Spreading its wings, it shielded Sha'ina and the other three beneath it. Then, gripping one person in each limb, it shot out of the stadium at extreme speed. Upon reaching the open air, it casually tossed the four aside. "Come back for me in a week," it said.

With that, Xiemu tossed a small black sphere to Sha'ina and flew away.

Watching Xiemu rapidly disappear and then looking at the black sphere in her hand, Sha'ina had no choice but to comply. As for the protagonists, they too felt despair as they watched Xiemu escape.

The sealing magic for demons had a distance limitation. Xiemu, much like the Holy Lord, was a cautious being. Unlike the previous two demons, it fled without hesitation, a swift and clean escape.

However, their current situation left them no time to pursue Xiemu. Pogan, having returned from hell once more, was rampaging through the city, devouring everything in sight.

To minimize losses and protect the public, finding a way to contain or subdue Pogan was the priority.

But before Chenlong could utter a word, his father, having seen through everything, flicked Chenlong's forehead.

"Pogan is not the priority. Demons possess immortality. Only by finding Xiemu and sealing him back to hell can we possibly send Pogan back with him."

Chenlong, hearing this, protested, his inherent sense of compassion overwhelming him. "But won't many people die this way?"

"And so?" His father raised an eyebrow. "You no longer possess the Divine Armor. Without it, you are just an ordinary person and cannot possibly stop Pogan. Instead of that, finding Xiemu quickly is the only way to minimize casualties."

As Chenlong and his father argued over whether to confront Pogan or pursue Xiemu, the sky suddenly darkened. Looking up, SHIELD's colossal Helicarrier appeared overhead.

Earlier, his father had built a similar demon tracker for SHIELD. After its completion, Nick Fury had taken it back to SHIELD and made further improvements with their technology.

While the magical dabblers at SHIELD couldn't possibly reverse-engineer his father's techniques, one shouldn't underestimate them. Though weak in magic, SHIELD, with the support of the American government, was undoubtedly among the top scientific organizations in the world.

Therefore, unable to replicate the demon tracker, several SHIELD scientists pooled their knowledge and resources, using existing scientific technology to create an amplifier, greatly enhancing the tracker's range and precision.

Thus, as soon as Xiemu emerged from the portal, SHIELD received the alert and rushed their forces, even deploying their base, the Helicarrier.

Unfortunately, SHIELD was still a step too late. Xiemu had fled too quickly. By the time SHIELD arrived, Xiemu was long gone. However, at least Pogan remained.

Fighter jets launched from the Helicarrier, armed with the most advanced anti-demon weaponry, hurtled towards Pogan.

*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*

Missiles rained down on Pogan, but even the anti-demon missiles specially developed by SHIELD only tickled the thick hide of the demon, causing no substantial damage.

Pogan initially paid no mind to these bothersome flies. However, these flies grew bolder, using their contraptions to destroy its food.

Unable to tolerate it any longer, Pogan plunged a hand into the ground, ripped up a chunk of earth, and hurled it, precisely hitting a SHIELD fighter jet.

*Boom!*

Fortunately, the pilot reacted quickly, ejecting just seconds before impact. The fighter jet, however, was not so lucky. Amidst an explosion, it plummeted to the ground as a fiery inferno.

If Pogan had been somewhat restrained the last time, this time it was completely unleashed.

Pogan's return to the mortal world this time was through Xiemu's portal, meaning the sealing magic that had previously contained it was now ineffective. Coupled with the demon's inherent immortality and Pogan's nature as the most durable of the eight demons, any conventional weapon or magic was practically useless against it.

Witnessing his forces suffer heavy losses while the demon continued its feast, Nick Fury, on the Helicarrier, was stunned.

However, his deputy's words brought him back to his senses.

"Director, who is that over there?"

Following his deputy's gaze, he saw the Chenlong family.

While he didn't understand why they always appeared simultaneously with demons, these minor details were no longer important. The crucial point was that his father was also present, and perhaps through him, they could learn how to deal with this colossal demon.
