It turned out that Yonghuo's approach was very correct.
In terms of combat skills, Yonghuo was definitely no match for Batman. However, the endless Shadow Ninjas greatly depleted Batman's stamina. Even though Batman could kill several ninjas with a single swing of the magical Panku Box's righteousness, it was far from enough against such a massive number.
Hiding among the ninjas, Yonghuo seized an opportunity and used mind control on the unsuspecting Batman, directly entering his mental world.
Yonghuo's technique had always been invincible with this move, easily turning many big, burly men into fools. But this time, Yonghuo was in trouble.
Less than a minute after invading Batman's mental world, he was defeated by Batman's immense mental power and tenacious will. If Yonghuo hadn't been quick to escape, he would have been killed within Batman's mental world.
Returning to his own body, Yonghuo collapsed onto the ground, panting heavily without any regard for his appearance, looking like he had narrowly escaped death.
"Humans... why do humans possess... such... such terrifying mental power..."
Although Yonghuo was heavily wounded by Batman's mental power, he had also created a minute of blankness when he invaded Batman's mental world.
Even though it was only a short minute, it was enough for the Shadow Ninjas surrounding Batman.
The Panku Box was protected by righteousness; anything with dark energy or that carried dark energy could not hold it. But it couldn't withstand the sheer number of ninjas.
First, they kicked away Batman, who was being invaded mentally by Yonghuo, separating him from the Panku Box. Then, one by one, they tried their best to carry the Panku Box further away before the attached righteousness could destroy them.
By the time Yonghuo escaped Batman's mental world, the Panku Box, thanks to the sacrifice of countless Shadow Ninjas, had been moved to the warehouse entrance.
"Stop him!"
Seeing the Panku Box at the entrance, Yonghuo didn't dare to linger. He uttered a sentence, got up, and ran towards the entrance.
Batman also wanted to continue pursuing, but he was immediately blocked by a massive number of Shadow Ninjas.
As he got closer and closer to the box, about to grab it, a boomerang suddenly stuck in the ground in front of Yonghuo. Looking in the direction the boomerang came from, another one flew rapidly towards him.
Bang!
Yonghuo swung his arm, knocking the incoming boomerang to the ground.
"Who!"
Who else could use boomerangs as weapons besides Captain Boomerang?
Captain Boomerang had not left after being blown away by the gale with the others. Instead, he chose to return to the warehouse.
In his opinion, the box emitting a emerald green light was definitely a treasure. If he could get his hands on it, he might make a fortune.
So, after returning, he saw Yonghuo trying to pick up the box on the ground and immediately threw a boomerang to stop him.
"Hey, ugly, if you don't want to get hurt, hurry back to your mommy. Otherwise, don't blame me..."
But before Captain Boomerang could finish speaking, he felt a lightness in his body. Looking down, he found his feet had left the ground. He was flying?
Looking at Yonghuo, his face contorted with ferocity, the horns on his head emitting a faint red glow. He raised one hand and said, "Too much has happened today, and I have no more patience to play around with you. So, die."
Yonghuo was truly angry. It was supposed to be a simple mission, but so many unexpected factors had arisen, causing delays. Now, some guy was foolishly trying to snatch the Panku Box.
Enraged, Yonghuo stopped holding back and, with a sudden burst of strength, directly snapped Captain Boomerang's neck.
After finishing, he picked up the Panku Box from the ground and swaggered towards a high wall.
With another telekinetic push, a gap was blasted open in the high wall.
Repeating this action, Yonghuo soon left Arkham.
While Yonghuo was engaged in a battle of wits with Batman, what was Kraven doing?
In fact, when the Suicide Squad's raid on the small courtyard caused a commotion, Kraven and Caitlin had already begun their actions.
Time rewinded half an hour earlier.
Boom!
Hearing an explosion and seeing the entire Arkham go on high alert, Kraven nodded with satisfaction. He summoned a few Shadow Ninjas and, through the Shadow Kingdom, easily breached Arkham's outer defenses, entering the area where the patients were held.
"Hey! You are..."
Before the patrol officer who discovered the sudden appearance of Kraven and Caitlin could finish speaking, a chill froze the upper half of the officer's body into an ice sculpture.
Kraven ignored Caitlin, who was trying to take credit, and said impatiently, "Hurry up, we have important business."
Then he arrived at a cell door, punched it, and the lock was shattered. Pulling it open, he revealed a spectacled, blond-haired man inside, looking at the scene in astonishment.
"Jonathan Crane? Come out."
As a bewildered Jonathan emerged from his cell, he saw Caitlin dragging a large block of ice from the opposite cell. A closer look revealed that the person frozen inside the ice was none other than the Mud Face.
Then, the two visited several more cells, taking out several individuals, including Poison Ivy Pamela Lillian Isley, Mr. Freeze Victor Fries, White Rabbit Gianna Hudson, and a host of Gotham City's notorious criminals, or rather, the mentally ill.
These individuals, released from their cells by Kraven and Caitlin, were almost all bewildered. A few who went mad immediately upon release were subdued or knocked out by the surrounding Shadow Ninjas.
"Hey, Beast Boy, what do you want by getting us out? Throwing a party?"
"Yeah, if you have something to say, say it quickly. I still need to take care of my flowers and plants in my room."
Kraven didn't waste any words. In his opinion, talking to these lunatics was a torture. With a wave of his hand, darkness descended, engulfing everyone present.
When the darkness dissipated, the once crowded corridor was empty. Only the Joker, alone in his cell, remained.
"Hey! You guys didn't take me? That's not fair!"
There was no way around it. The Joker was a unique entity. Unlike others, the Joker, locked in a love-hate relationship with Batman, could not be tamed or utilized. Bai Qi was too lazy to engage in a battle of wits with the Joker, so he had specifically instructed them from the beginning not to bring the Joker back.
Therefore, Kraven took almost all the patients from Arkham, leaving only the one known as the Clown Prince of Crime behind.
This greatly displeased the Joker, but there was nothing he could do. He could only rage pointlessly in his cell.
When the surrounding darkness receded, everyone realized they had left Arkham, and the people around them had disappeared, leaving them isolated in separate, unknown compartments.
