“You adjust wormholes, traveling from one point in space to another. The void is the opposite; it doesn't change your location, but I change the location of space.”
“So theoretically, I'm still on the battlefield?”
“You could put it that way, for now.”
Although Keisha couldn't immediately grasp the concept, she was still immensely shocked.
“It’s infuriating, and that Leina, we don’t use such methods to control others.”
“That’s why mortals respect you, but gods might not.”
Keisha nodded, her gaze shifting to the supernova in the distance. “This supernova before us will explode in less than a minute.”
“Yes.”
“It certainly could shatter me.”
“We hope so. Moreover, Morgana proposed using the Great Clock to scatter your fragments across every corner of the known universe. She believes you might possess the ability to reassemble; if you do, it would take at least three hundred million years.”
The two conversed so calmly, as if the impending event had nothing to do with them.
“Death is death. Why reassemble after being shattered? I am not afraid; when one dies, they should rest well.”
“This knowledge you speak of regarding spatial instability is something I've never heard of before; it’s truly frightening. Give me some time; I need to digest it slowly.”
“Only thirty seconds remain.”
Karl turned again and said, “I apologize, Queen Keisha, why don’t you try to escape? Why are you sitting here waiting for death?”
Upon saying this, Karl's emotions, rarely, showed a slight fluctuation.
“Escape? Escape where? I could slice through Leina’s third-generation divine body with a single blow, leaving her beyond redemption, but I didn’t.”
After Keisha spoke and a few seconds of silence, she slowly stood up, fearlessly spread her arms, and walked towards the exploding supernova.
“Come, I’d like to see how you intend to destroy my justice.”
In the dazzling explosion of the supernova, Keisha's divine body was gradually consumed.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield.
Bai Qi, having removed his barrier and magic formations, sat cross-legged on the ground, gazing upwards with a solemn expression, as if bidding farewell to a dear friend.
Keisha's disappearance was a major blow to the entire angel legion, heavily impacting their morale and other aspects. The demons seized this opportunity, relentlessly pursuing and attacking the angels.
Conversely, Morgana behaved unusually. Logically, upon the demise of Keisha, the Angel King with whom she had fought for tens of thousands of years, she, as the Demon Queen, should have been overjoyed. Yet, the opposite was true. She, who had been wreaking havoc among the angels moments ago, now disengaged from the battlefield and landed before Bai Qi, her face a complex mixture of emotions.
Bai Qi said little, casually tossing a bottle of strong liquor to Morgana.
Morgana took the liquor and took several gulps. “Do you know, countless nights I dreamed of how to destroy Keisha, my sister, but… now that it’s done, the feeling… isn’t as good as I imagined.”
Bai Qi smiled, slowly stood up, and said, “The days ahead won't be peaceful. Be careful, don’t die.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Bai Qi vanished from the battlefield.
“Hmph, trying to act tough in front of me? I wouldn’t die even if you did.”
She reappeared on another planet, a planet entirely constructed from steel alloy. The name of this massive planetary fortress was War World.
Sensing Bai Qi’s sudden appearance, War World immediately activated. Quadrupedal robots resembling dogs swarmed in from all directions, while armed drones filled the sky. In less than thirty seconds, over forty of them had gathered.
These robots were called Hounds, the defense robots on War World’s surface. Their quadrupedal design allowed them to adapt to most terrains. Their heads were equipped with sharp teeth and two cameras, capable of transmitting visuals to the control room. Their backs mounted two machine cannons, and their tails, using multi-jointed designs, resembled Doctor Octopus's tentacles.
More importantly, the Hounds were numerous and distributed across War World's surface, forming, along with the Hornet robots, War World’s ground defense line. They were responsible for quickly reaching and encircling any enemies who landed on the ground, to annihilate them.
As for the spacecraft and battleships from the air and space, they were to be dealt with by the more powerful anti-aircraft energy cannons.
*Buzzzzzz…*
At this moment, a sonic boom appeared in the open space not far from Bai Qi. Vandal Savage emerged from it, followed by several mutants from the main world and two mutated Titan creatures.
“Holy Lord, we’ve come a long way. If the benefits we receive are not satisfactory, you know the consequences.”
“Rest assured, the benefits this time will far exceed your imagination.”
As the two conversed, the surrounding defense robots completed Bai Qi’s identity verification. Upon confirming his clearance, they automatically parted to the sides, clearing a path for him.
Passing through the sonic boom, the Holy Lord, Savage, and their companions entered War World.
In a conference room, Savage sat at his seat and looked at Bai Qi opposite him. “Speak. What scheme are you up to this time?”
Bai Qi shook his head helplessly. “Why must it always be a scheme? Isn't there even a shred of trust between us?”
“No.”
Savage’s tone was firm and unwavering.
“Alright.”
Seeing this, Bai Qi stopped beating around the bush. With no one else in the conference room besides him and Savage, there was no need for circuitous talk; it was troublesome.
“When you arrived, you must have seen many fleets, right?”
“Indeed.”
“To be honest, these fleets come from three different factions: the angels who represent justice, the demons who advocate for freedom, and the Taotie from the Underworld. Excluding the Taotie, both the Angel and Demon civilizations are top-tier civilizations in this world, and I've just returned from fighting them.
Savage’s brow furrowed slightly, and he clasped his hands on the table. “So, are you boasting to me, or are you trying to prove your strength to me with this?”
“No, I have no intention of showing off my muscles before you. There’s no need for that.”
Saying this, Bai Qi tossed a palm-sized crystal to Savage. “This records the scenes of the war between the angels and demons. You can watch it yourself. Also, the Taotie fleet will invade Earth soon; you can witness it firsthand.”
Bai Qi paused. “I’m telling you this for no other reason than to tell you that if we cannot unite, if we continue to scheme against each other and engage in infighting, when enemies from other worlds or the void attack, we will become lambs to the slaughter, utterly defenseless. At that time, nothing will matter.”
