Reopening the system taskbar, Bai Qi reread the bizarre mission. Unlike other tasks, this was a phased one. Finding the continent was just the first step in a longer quest chain, with subsequent missions unlocking after the continent was located.
[Phase Mission 1: Find the Lost Continent]
Reward: One advanced draw, 2 Blank Dials, 2% increase in Black Qi strength, unlock next phase mission.
Brief: A continent of past glory and civilization, withered by the invasion of evil creatures. Go forth and find it, you are the strongest explorer king.
Bai Qi had no intention of accepting this mission initially, but the rewards were too generous. Not to mention anything else, a 2% increase in Black Qi strength alone compelled Bai Qi to complete it. Furthermore, Blank Dials were something Bai Qi was currently in dire need of. As for the advanced draw, the inclusion of "advanced" at least guaranteed he wouldn't draw anything useless.
However, now was not the time to complete the mission. Undertaking this quest would not be easy. Bai Qi would have to break the restrictions on the circular disk, which was risky and could lead to irreversible damage. Alternatively, he would need to find someone who met the requirements to act as the disk's user and guide the way.
Afterward, he would still need to find the key to unlock the sealed continent, otherwise, even if he found it, he could only stare at it helplessly.
Regardless of which path he chose, it would require a significant amount of time.
Bai Qi had already made this matter the top priority for the Protective Umbrella Company, dedicating all its energy to searching for the key and suitable personnel. However, it seemed more time was needed.
"Forget it, I'll deal with Fisk's matter first."
Bai Qi instructed the ninjas to bring the Iron Head from outside.
"Master, you were looking for me."
After more than ten minutes of calm contemplation, Iron Head had accepted his current predicament and spoke to Bai Qi with a more fawning tone.
"Take that nauseating expression away, let's go."
As Bai Qi said, Iron Head's smile was truly a sight to behold; it could no longer be described as terrifying, it was utterly grotesque.
"Master, where are we going?"
"Fisk's lair."
With that, several shadowy ninjas gathered, opening a portal to the Shadow Realm.
Bai Qi ceased his idle chatter with Iron Head, grabbing him with his psionic power. The two of them entered the Shadow Realm together.
Meanwhile, after his fierce battle with Afu, Fisk had hired people to repair his severely damaged office, replacing the desks, chairs, and antique paintings.
The moment Fisk's office was redecorated and he had barely sat down, darkness enveloped the entire office.
"Tara, is this your doing?"
Fisk assumed that Tara was most likely responsible for such a spectacle, especially when he saw ninjas emerging from the darkness, which further solidified his belief.
"Enough, Tara. My patience is limited. Don't play these pointless little games."
"You think I am Tara? How amusing. In my eyes, that second-rate waste isn't even fit to carry my shoes."
As he spoke, Bai Qi emerged from the shadows, surrounded by numerous shadow ninjas.
Seeing Bai Qi appear, Fisk stood up and asked, "Who are you?"
Fisk did not recognize Bai Qi in his human form, but his intuition told him that this man before him was not to be trifled with.
Before Bai Qi could answer, Fisk's hand reached under the desk and stealthily pressed the alarm button.
Fisk believed he had not attracted the other party's attention, but such small movements could not escape Bai Qi's notice. He simply couldn't be bothered to expose it.
"What, can't you even recognize the one who's robbing you? I meant, can you now?"
As he spoke, Bai Qi reverted to his true form, his massive body standing tall, his head nearly touching the ceiling. This was even without Bai Qi unleashing his full power.
"The Underminer! You are the Underminer!"
Fisk immediately recognized Bai Qi in his true form. Although he was terrified, as the Kingpin of crime, he possessed a basic level of composure.
Knowing the opponent's strength, Fisk chose not to confront him directly but instead employed a conciliatory tactic, intending to persuade Bai Qi with words.
"Underminer, I know your strength, but we don't need to fight to the death. You have power, and I have connections. If we unite, the entire world will be under our control."
Fisk's boastful rhetoric almost made Bai Qi laugh.
You can control a single city, perhaps, but the entire world? He himself hadn't even considered it, and this gang leader dared to speak so extravagantly.
To put it mildly, even if the superheroes didn't intervene, the Illuminati would not stand idly by.
It could be said that any one member of the Illuminati was far beyond Fisk's capabilities.
Such a local emperor daring to claim control of the world was truly laughable.
"Fisk, before you say more, you should see who this is."
Saying this, Bai Qi shifted his body to the side, and a familiar figure appeared behind him in Fisk's vision.
"Iron Head?" Seeing Iron Head appear, Fisk raised an eyebrow and said, "You're still alive?"
Upon seeing Iron Head, Fisk's face displayed undisguised disgust.
"Yes, Fisk, I'm not dead. Not only am I alive, but I have also sworn allegiance to Lord Underminer. Today is the day you die."
Despite Iron Head's threat, Fisk remained unfazed and turned to Bai Qi, saying, "Lord Underminer, I know of your power, but why associate with this stray dog? Cooperating with me would yield greater benefits, wouldn't it?"
Seeing Fisk attempting to forge an alliance with the Underminer, Iron Head could no longer remain calm. If the two of them truly formed an alliance, would Fisk let him off in his current state?
Just as Iron Head was about to speak, Bai Qi stopped him.
Bai Qi said, "Firstly, my relationship with Iron Head is not one of cooperation, but of master and servant. Furthermore, you released Tara, so for you, there is only death standing before you."
"Iron Head, attack."
Iron Head was also a ruthless individual. Upon receiving Bai Qi's permission, he immediately drew the submachine gun from his back and unleashed a volley of gunfire at Fisk.
Under normal circumstances, anyone else would have been riddled with bullets, but they were facing Fisk.
Before he became famous, Fisk had experienced countless firefights with gangs. Even now, assassination attempts and ambushes were commonplace for him; he was highly experienced in dealing with such attacks.
Fisk kicked over the desk in front of him, using it to shield himself from the bullets. He then drew two submachine guns from under the desk and returned a "sincere greeting" to Iron Head and Bai Qi.
Facing Fisk's counterattack, Iron Head quickly ducked behind cover. As for Bai Qi, bullets barely tickled him; he didn't even bother to dodge, standing there to take the bullets head-on.
"If that's the case, then I'll show you my Seven Deadly Sins."
