Thus, the gods and demons listened with bated breath as the Yin-Yang God-Demon distributed streams of information to them.
They then began to examine them carefully.
To their surprise, most were left in a state of stunned bewilderment.
The plan to harmonize the Yin and Yang of heaven and earth was truly colossal, its ideas audacious to the extreme, and the scale of the undertaking, as well as its difficulty, was equally staggering.
Upon reviewing the relevant information, the gods and demons of the Sun Law and the Moon Law turned ashen.
In this era where the sun and moon had yet to appear, they were merely one of the nine major branch laws beneath the laws of Yang and Yin, not significantly different from Lesser Yang, Pure Yang, Lesser Yin, Profound Yin, and so forth. Yet, in the Yin-Yang God-Demon's grand plan to harmonize heaven and earth, these two specific laws were singled out, with talk of creating a Sun Star and a Moon Star to illuminate the world.
How could they not be terrified? It was not difficult to imagine that creating celestial bodies capable of shining upon the entire world would be an arduous task. The simplest method would be to kill them and hang their essence in the sky, transforming them into the Sun and Moon stars. With such thoughts, how could they not be afraid, their faces not turn pale?
And if they could think of this.
While other primordial gods and demons were not as quick to grasp the implication, they soon realized it as well. The Lesser Yang God-Demon then directly inquired, with no pretense of politeness:
"Esteemed One, I have a question. How do you intend to create the Sun Star and the Moon Star? To my knowledge, it should be an exceedingly difficult feat to forge two celestial bodies capable of illuminating the entire world!"
His words were both a question and a probe.
If the Yin-Yang God-Demon dared to suggest sacrificing the Sun God-Demon and the Moon God-Demon to fill these roles, the gods and demons present would undoubtedly feel a sense of shared dread, for no one could guarantee they wouldn't be called upon to sacrifice themselves in the future.
Therefore, the Yin-Yang God-Demon's subsequent attitude might indirectly determine the stance of the gods and demons present. If he truly intended to use their lives to harmonize Yin and Yang, they wouldn't hesitate to fight to the death.
"Oh, I am aware of your concerns. You need not fear that I will use the Sun God-Demon and the Moon God-Demon to create the stars. The grandeur of the entire plan to harmonize heaven and earth should be clear to you all.
It cannot be achieved overnight.
The Sun Star and Moon Star do not need to be fully formed immediately. We can first extract some of their primal essences to forge nascent Sun and Moon seeds, and then gradually perfect them.
However, Sun and Moon, you two will likely have to bear the brunt of the work. The primary task of nurturing these two stars will fall to you, as others cannot easily intervene or offer any significant assistance.
But once the Sun Star and Moon Star take shape, you should be able to anticipate their importance to the world. At that time, when you two command these stars, your status will far surpass that of those at your current level, such as Lesser Yang, Pure Yang, Lesser Yin, and Profound Yin. It is likely that beneath the Laws of Yin and Yang, Taiyin and Taiyang will be supreme!"
In truth, the Yin-Yang God-Demon had initially considered directly using the Sun God-Demon and the Moon God-Demon to evolve into the Sun Star and Moon Star. But he was later dissuaded by Ding Yun.
It wasn't that Ding Yun was inherently benevolent, but rather that the laws of the Sun God-Demon and Moon God-Demon were not yet complete. Using them to evolve into the Sun Star and Moon Star would inevitably result in flaws. And once the Sun and Moon Stars were created with significant imperfections, rectifying them would be exceedingly difficult, much like modifying something after it had already taken its final form.
Furthermore, if the Sun God-Demon and Moon God-Demon were truly used to evolve the Sun Star and Moon Star, it would surely sow apprehension among the other gods and demons, alienating them from the Yin-Yang God-Demon.
Therefore, it was better to proceed gradually. First, create a miniature Sun Star and Moon Star, allowing the Moon God-Demon and Sun God-Demon to nurture them slowly. As long as the Sun Star and Moon Star were not fully formed, any imperfections would not be a major issue. If all else failed, a plan could eventually be devised to have the Sun God-Demon and Moon God-Demon merge into the Sun Star and Moon Star, achieving Daoization.
With the importance of the Sun Star and Moon Star, it was believed that even the world itself would side with them, assisting in their Daoization and eventual demise.
Regardless, these two divine demons absolutely could not be harmed at present; they needed to be appeased. With the assurances from the Yin-Yang God-Demon, the anxieties of the gods and demons present immediately subsided. Some even felt a flicker of envy towards the Sun God-Demon and Moon God-Demon.
For if the Yin-Yang God-Demon's plan succeeded and the Sun Star and Moon Star were successfully born, the gods and demons in charge of them would undoubtedly see their laws and authority enhanced, of this there was no doubt.
This effectively set the tone for the entire plan to harmonize heaven and earth: not to harm the lives of any primordial gods or demons, but to cooperate, contributing at most some primal essence, and jointly completing the corresponding plans.
Concurrently, Ding Yun, through his imprints, continuously transmitted detailed information about the overall plan, including preliminary models for the Sun Star and Moon Star, to the Yin-Yang God-Demon, enabling him to promptly address the myriad questions that would arise from the gods and demons for a long time to come.
After over a hundred years of such deliberation, they finally assigned their respective tasks and officially launched the plan.
Ding Yun provided theoretical and technical support.
They would execute the plan. The Yin-Yang God-Demon, in addition to overseeing the general direction and providing support with his core law, the Law of Yin and Yang, also needed to coordinate with other top-tier gods and demons in heaven and earth to provide conveniences or assistance.
He even had to persuade and unite certain gods and demons.
To help him accomplish the most difficult task of harmonizing Yin and Yang: the complete separation of heaven and earth.
Minor matters such as creating the Taiyin and Taiyang stars, or separating spirit veins between Yin and Yang, could be delegated to other primordial gods and demons. However, the complete separation of heaven and earth could only be handled by the Yin-Yang God-Demon, and he couldn't accomplish it alone. He had to find a way to coordinate with more top-tier gods and demons to achieve it together.
Ding Yun could offer no assistance in this regard. Other low- and mid-tier primordial gods and demons were not qualified to converse with those top-tier gods and demons and could not help. Therefore, it was up to the Yin-Yang God-Demon to find a way to coordinate this matter.
If successful, everything would be manageable, and the greatest challenge of harmonizing Yin and Yang would be resolved. If it failed, then there would be considerable trouble.
Many matters would need to be re-planned and re-evaluated.
