The moment this message was released, the Eternal World descended into chaos.
While it had always lacked order, and was relatively chaotic, the confusion had been contained. Now, it was utterly in disarray.
The various factions immediately engaged in widespread warfare. This was because all the gods and demons understood that this message had not emerged out of nowhere, nor did any single god or demon possess the ability to deceive them all. Therefore, the message that had suddenly appeared in their minds could only have originated from one source: the consciousness of the world itself.
Since the world had spoken, the information could not possibly be wrong. Some mid-to-low-level innate gods and demons, who were still far from achieving perfection in their laws, might have thought it was not urgent to break through, and that they could patiently wait for others to achieve perfection first, thereby removing the relevant restrictions, and then slowly follow suit.
However, for those gods and demons who were peers among the top-tier innate beings, the situation was different. They were unwilling to be mere followers. They certainly did not want to be inferior to others from that point onward. Furthermore, they were already leaders of their own factions, making conflict between them easier. Most importantly, the heavenly tribulation qi had already begun to spread, unbeknownst to them, influencing their minds. It was also possible that the world consciousness was exerting its own influence. Thus, an unprecedented war erupting between them was only natural.
...
Yin Yang Grotto-Heaven.
Upon receiving the message, the Yin Yang God and Demon did not immediately leave the Grotto-Heaven to fight other gods and demons. Instead, they dodged back and forth, muttering, "So that's how it is," before eagerly instructing Ding Yun to perform calculations. They needed to determine the probability of this message being true or false and whether it was possible for him to truly achieve perfection in his laws.
At this moment, Ding Yun, whose main body was still asleep and unable to communicate directly, was unaware of the relevant information. Her surprised expression was therefore genuine. She quickly suppressed her emotions, pondering the matter while calculating the probability of success. After a while, she hastily replied:
"Esteemed One, this message should be accurate. I always felt that our previous calculations were infinitely close to correctness, yet we could never break through that final barrier. It was very perplexing. It now seems our calculations were not the issue, but rather the world itself. Since no being in this world has ever achieved perfection in their laws, it is impossible to naturally break through to perfection. One can only forcibly open up a new realm on top of the existing one. This is undoubtedly extremely difficult, perhaps equivalent to all previous stages being mere quantitative changes, and this final step being the qualitative transformation, the ultimate metamorphosis. Therefore, a great deal of so-called 'fortune' is required for this. At least, logically speaking, it makes sense. As for whether to strive for first place, I personally feel it is also very important. Consider this: your foundation lies in being the first strand of innate Yin-Yang qi in the world. After you, the world has indeed produced new innate Yin-Yang qi, but because they lacked the 'first,' they could not follow your path. They could only either merge with other spiritual qi to form ordinary innate god and demon embryos, innate life embryos, or even innate spiritual roots and innate spiritual treasures. Some could not even develop sentience and were absorbed and refined by others. Although the first god or demon to achieve perfection in their laws will not necessarily block the paths of others, the benefits will undoubtedly be immense. It would be a pity not to compete."
Ding Yun, in this instance, was being deliberately selective, only revealing the aspects that would most appeal to the Yin Yang God and Demon, while omitting any dangers or concerns. Her objective was not to serve the Yin Yang God and Demon indefinitely. Her aim was to find an opportunity to break free from the Yin Yang God and Demon after the world reached its completion, preferably if the Yin Yang God and Demon perished, allowing her to inherit all of his legacies. Now was the perfect time for such an opportunity. If she did not conceal information, she would be a fool. If she guessed correctly, this was now the first great tribulation initiated by the world, the Tribulation of the Gods, also known as the Tribulation of Gods and Demons. This tribulation was for the world to purge innate gods and demons and achieve its final completion. During this tribulation, some innate gods and demons who were not very useful to the world or were not particularly important might be able to escape and preserve their lives. However, those gods and demons who were crucial and indispensable to the world would absolutely not be able to escape. The core reason why these gods and demons could not achieve perfection in their laws, and why the world could not be perfected, was that these gods and demons themselves were born from the world using various origins and laws. If they did not die, and their innate divine bodies did not merge with the world, how could the various laws and origins, which were incomplete in their creation, become perfect? And if the origins and laws were not perfect, how could the world be perfected? Therefore, their demise was inevitable!
However, these innate gods and demons were unaware of this. And Ding Yun, being an outsider, did not need to worry. After all, she was not born from the world's partitioning of certain laws and origins. She was already mostly formed when she entered this world. She did not owe the world much karma, and thus did not need to repay it with her life.
"You are also right. It seems we must compete. I recall we have now collected over 1,800 types of the three thousand laws. We only need just over 1,100 more. Perhaps we can take advantage of this great opportunity to gather them all. If we can gather these law powers and create law robots to enter the corresponding laws and obtain all their information, while also being the first to achieve perfection in a law... I might be able to directly become the Lord of this world. One who controls the three thousand laws..."
"Ding Yun, for now, temporarily suspend all other deduction tasks. Focus your full efforts on assisting those law robots in comprehending the laws. Furthermore, in some time, I should be able to continuously provide you with the missing law powers. As soon as you acquire a type of law power, immediately use it to create a law robot, infiltrate the corresponding law, and seize the law as quickly as possible. In addition to this, be sure to be prepared to quickly recall all the law robots. If this matter is successful, I will allow you to manifest as an innate spiritual treasure and take you as my eldest disciple. Understand? Go and get busy!"
Having made his decision and given his instructions, and after dangling a carrot for Ding Yun, the Yin Yang God and Demon immediately revoked most of the permissions within the Yin Yang Grotto-Heaven, retaining only his own entry and exit access. Ding Yun herself could no longer enter or exit. Only then did he leave with peace of mind, preparing to gather all the remaining gods and demons in the Yin Yang Grotto-Heaven, and then contact factions that might submit to him, or at least be led by him, to form an alliance and join the race for the qi.
