Long Live The Master

Chapter 86: You Know Everything?

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: You Know Everything?

"Grandma, what do you mean?" Justin Battleson’s ink-black eyes faltered slightly.

"Charlotte is perhaps not as I initially thought; now that your health is no longer a pressing issue, you can make your own decisions regarding your marriage." Jasmine Clarkson sighed.

Justin Battleson furrowed his eyebrows, a hint of surprise flashed across his eyes.

"Didn’t you quite like Sophie Allen? Why the sudden change of heart?"

Jasmine Clarkson said lightly, "Charlotte is not a bad kid. Maybe life has been too tough on her, she had no choice but to do what she did. Remember to give her a sum of money in return, don’t let her struggle in the future. Consider it a way of our Clarkson Family repaying her grandfather’s kindness."

Puzzled after hearing this, Justin asked, "What has she done?"

"Ah, she sold herself to Mr. Williams of the Cornelia resort hotel. I thought it was Mr. Williams having an affair with Evelyn Curtis, only to find out it was actually Sophie Allen." Jasmine Clarkson shook her head helplessly.

Justin lowered his gaze, the image of Sophie Allen crying in Henry Hudson’s arms just earlier flashed through his mind.

...

Time passed quickly, and a week went by in the blink of an eye.

The day after tomorrow is the day of Aunt Watson’s surgery.

With her companionship and persuasion, Aunt Watson seemed to be much better spirits, which had been Sophie Allen’s happiest moment in the last few days.

When Henry Hudson had spare time, he would also come and chat with Aunt Watson. Seeing the two of them, Aunt Watson felt reassured, fostering her will to live on.

She wanted to witness the day when Henry would marry Charlotte and see Charlotte living happily ever after.

But she had been holding in those words and hadn’t said them out loud yet.

As Sophie Allen returned after meal preparation, Henry Hudson came over during his lunch break. The three of them had their meal in the ward.

"Charlotte, it’s a beautiful sunny day today. Let’s take Aunt Watson for a walk in the hospital garden." Henry Hudson proposed with a smile.

Sophie Allen looked at Aunt Watson, who nodded lightly. Sophie then enthusiastically helped Aunt Watson get out of bed.

Henry Hudson had already prepared the wheelchair. Just then, a nurse came looking for him. "Dr. Hudson, patient Kennedy has suddenly fallen into a coma!"

Henry Hudson hurriedly rushed over.

"Aunt Watson, while Henry goes to take care of his work matters, I’ll accompany you to sunbathe." Sophie Allen helped Aunt Watson to stand up by placing one of Aunt Watson’s arms on her shoulder, then helped her sit in the wheelchair.

Due to her illness, Aunt Watson’s legs were weak and she couldn’t walk on her own.

Just then, a familiar female voice came from the doorway:

"Sophie Allen! I need to talk to you!"

Sophie Allen didn’t turn her head, she recognized the voice. It was Evelyn Curtis.

Thinking about how Evelyn Curtis had revealed her secret and teamed up with Justin Battleson to trick her, Sophie Allen was seething.

"Sophie Allen, you seduced my boyfriend, and now you don’t even dare to face me? Come out, clarify things with me----"

Evelyn Curtis’ voice grew louder and sharper.

Sophie Allen still ignored her, continuing to help Aunt Watson put on her shoes.

Aunt Watson raised her hand and patted Sophie Allen’s shoulder. She then opened her mouth and said in a weak voice, "Charlotte, clarify things with her... Don’t let her... ruin your reputation..."

"Aunt Watson, please wait a moment for me. I will take you to the garden when I come back." Sophie Allen stood up and walked towards Evelyn Curtis.

She looked coldly at the familiar woman in front of her and said, "Let’s find a quiet place to have a clear talk."

The reason she wanted to change locations was because she did not want Aunt Watson to hear about the incident of her losing her chastity.

If it wasn’t for that incident, she would never have yielded to Evelyn Curtis.

The two of them arrived at a corner of the staircase. Since everyone took the elevator, there were barely any people passing by.

"Evelyn Curtis, instead of me settling accounts with you, you’re playing the blame game now?" Sophie Allen sneered.

Evelyn Curtis’s heart jolted, and her face changed, "You know about it?"
