Chapter 6 Home of luxury.

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Home of luxury.

Daniel stood there at the edge of the wall, watching as Adrian’s bodyguard walked in and began packing his belongings. Adrian’s clothes and other things that were clearly his were taken away piece by piece, while Daniel was left standing aside as if he never even existed.

Funny enough, he liked being in this corner. Standing in the spotlight was never something he enjoyed, but his beauty and striking features never allowed him the peace of mind he craved. Even though his parents always tried to shield him, he still shone brighter than his siblings—especially his sisters, who were no match for him.

No offense, but his sisters were nothing to write home about.

So, watching everything unfold like a bystander, Daniel caught the subtle message that was passed down to the bodyguard—strangely, one who seemed unusually close to Adrian.

So, he does have a friend. What a surprise to Daniel. A man with such a personality usually ended up alone.

Jake, the bodyguard, was a hefty man. The way he lifted the heavy boxes—ones that were obviously too much for an average person—with such nonchalance left little to the imagination.

Daniel shuddered at the thought of the poor souls who would ever end up under him, pounded by that thing. Despite the tightness of his trousers, Daniel’s shameless eyes still traced the lines that clearly marked the outline of Jake’s dick, begging to be freed.

Oh, nope. I am definitely not looking there again. That’s traumatizing. Daniel shook in horror.

When the room was finally cleared and several boxes moved away, Daniel’s curiosity rose. Why exactly had Adrian come here? Was it purely for pleasure, or was there some ulterior motive? Judging from the belongings being packed, there were enough clothes and supplies for a month straight. Daniel couldn’t help but wonder.

"Don’t you want to come?" Adrian barked suddenly, his dark voice jolting Daniel as if he’d been struck by lightning.

The storm in his tone was haunting. Just minutes ago, this same man had been beneath him, sucking his dick—and now he switched personalities like a chameleon.

Cheers to my new life.

"I am coming..." Daniel didn’t even finish before Adrian turned his back and walked out, Jake following behind—the hunk of a bodyguard that unsettled Daniel.

Scoffing, Daniel hurried after them, trying to match Adrian’s heavy strides that were anything but forgiving.

But then something caught his senses. A group of men stepped in front of Adrian, blocking his exit. And among them was someone Daniel knew all too well—Madam Helen herself.

No, no, no. Panic surged to Daniel’s throat.

If Madam Helen said anything about his identity as an omega—in a world where female omegas were cherished—he would be harassed endlessly and robbed of every ounce of freedom he still clung to.

Why couldn’t his day ever just move in a straight line without constant interruptions?

Madam Helen’s eyes flickered toward him. At first, she scowled, but whatever the issue was, she quickly tuned it down.

"Mr. Valez, what about my payment? The worker you took here is one of our prized possessions, and nothing has been said about the money." Helen’s voice was cautious, careful not to anger the raging beast that was Adrian, but she still spat facts about the issue at hand.

Adrian turned, his face twisting into an irritated expression, sharp disdain radiating from him like a blade. Daniel, standing behind, was startled by the ferocity of that glare.

"So, you’re doubting my abilities and intentions, is that it, Madam Helen?" Adrian drawled dangerously, his tone dripping with venom.

Madam Helen froze. The pheromones Adrian released at that moment were enough to make her go dizzy, and his reputation as the Night Poison only made it worse. He wasn’t just dangerous—he was a murderer with an uncountable kill count. His tattoos, carved numbers marking each kill, were living proof.

"No, it’s not that way... just that he’s a prized possession—" Helen never finished. Adrian’s hand shot out, gripping her throat violently.

"Thinking you’re a big boss, aren’t you? When in truth, you’re nothing." Adrian deadpanned, his eyes burning like an inferno—so intense that Daniel, watching, trembled. He hadn’t realized just how deadly the danger around him truly was.

Helen struggled, her breaths rasping, life slipping away. Her guards—her so-called men—stood helpless. Who would dare touch the Night Poison, if not death itself?

"I am serious, the boy with you is an ome—" Before she could say the word omega, her neck snapped in Adrian’s grip.

Gasps filled the air. The scene was brutal. And if that wasn’t enough, Adrian, being Adrian, never left a scene without his flair. Right before Daniel’s horrified eyes, he twisted, ripped Helen’s head clean off, and tossed it to the ground, letting it roll violently like a ball.

Daniel’s jaw dropped, his hands covering his mouth.

That was cruel. Yes, he hated the woman with passion and even promised her death—but not like this, not in such a horrific manner. And for what?

Shut up, Daniel. Are you seriously feeling bad for her?

As if she hadn’t just tried to expose his most precious secret—his omega identity—to Adrian and that devil of a bodyguard who kept glancing at him like he was nothing but a meal.

Oh God, could he really handle this?

Adrian, unfazed, tossed Helen’s body aside and stretched out his bloody hands. Jake immediately offered him a handkerchief, which he used to clean himself while inspecting the corpse still oozing blood like a leaking tap.

"Let’s go." Casting Daniel a cold, cutting look, Adrian turned and walked away, Jake following behind. Like a startled bee, Daniel scrambled after them, cursing silently under his breath.

The ride home—or rather, to a prison Daniel dreaded to enter—was one of the most chilling experiences of his life.

The car itself was beautiful, one Daniel could recognize anywhere thanks to his expertise in fancy things and his wealthy parents who always swam in riches.

Inside, the air conditioner made the atmosphere icy, but Daniel didn’t know whether to complain or keep quiet. He wasn’t trembling like others might, but that didn’t mean he’d risk blurting out something foolish and lose his head—or worse.

The driver, too, was tattooed head to toe. It seemed everyone in Adrian’s circle was determined to cloak their souls in ink, though no tattoos could ever truly cover what they were.

Adrian, seated at the front left window, kept his eyes on Daniel through the hanging mirror. Surprisingly, he was impressed. Daniel wasn’t just beautiful—he was brave. Others he had taken on this ride, both men and women, trembled under his aura. But this one... no. Daniel looked around with a steady fire in his eyes. But this was only the beginning.

Let’s see if that fire still burns when we arrive at our destination.

Meanwhile, Daniel was already feeling heavy with sleep but couldn’t close his eyes. He had never been so far from home. Annoying as it was, he actually missed it—even though his family betrayed him and no one there ever truly liked him. He had spent years trying to gain their validation, only for it to end in betrayal and a brothel where he would have been brutally raped.

And now? He was heading straight into a mafia household, dragged by a dangerous man into a den of lions. Worse still, the drugs he relied on were back at home. His departure hadn’t been planned, and in just two days, the effects would completely wear off. Tomorrow would be the last day—and the man he knew who could supply him was nowhere near.

Daniel ruffled his hair. He was screwed. This time, his fate felt sealed with no escape.

The Mercedes-Benz glided to a stop at a small gate, which opened automatically. They drove in, greeted by rows and rows of towering trees.

They were driving into a maze—a huge one, pyramid-like and confusing as hell.

Great. There goes my escape plan. How the hell am I supposed to run away from this?

His eyes drifted again, catching the sight of an enormous skyscraper. It was ethereal. But that wasn’t all—outside the building stood statues, artistic carvings, and works of art that screamed power and wealth. And if this was only the outside...

The car slowed at another gate—an enormous metal monster that climbed impossibly high, one no climber could scale. If the maze was discouraging, this gate was hopelessness incarnate. Yet, as if recognizing Adrian, the gates screeched open.

The car sped in, and Daniel’s mouth parted. His family mansion was beautiful, but this—this was another level.

The golden marble floor gleamed. The parking lot glimmered with glass walls and silver poles. Luxury oozed from every corner.

When the car stopped, the driver honked, and Jake moved to open Adrian’s door. But before he could, Adrian slammed it into his face. Blood gushed instantly from Jake’s nose.

Grinning coldly, Adrian whispered, "You kept me waiting. That’s atrocious." And with that, he walked away.

Daniel, wide-eyed, shook his head, how wrong was he! They definitely were not friends.

Scrambling out of the car. No way was he letting Jake vent his frustration on him. But as soon as he stepped down beside Adrian, what greeted him turned his stomach.

A crowd had gathered, many armed with deadly weapons. Seeing Adrian, they smiled—but their eyes shifted toward Daniel, and every stare was sharpened with death.
