Chapter 219: Chapter 219: Awesome
Just as the words had left his mouth, his face was met with a punch.
Followed immediately by another punch.
Delivered by Gu Chunhai.
"Ah... murder, murder." Liu Xiufeng screamed.
"Shut up." Gu Chunhai looked icily at Liu Xiufeng, "Say one more word and I’ll beat you too, believe it or not."
With that, he dragged Gu Chunli out, "Dad, I’m going out to have a word with him."
If he hadn’t wanted Old Sir Gu to vent his years of anger earlier, he would have already disciplined this bastard himself.
He had always thought of him as just selfish and lazy, but how did he turn out like this?
Is there no conscience left?
"What are you doing?" Liu Xiufeng yelled after them.
"Second brother... second brother, let me go." Gu Chunli, who was at most about 1.73 meters tall, was dwarfed by Gu Chunhai’s 1.85 meters. Gu Chunhai’s large stature made lifting the scrawny Gu Chunli look like he was carrying a puppet.
"Wow, my second uncle is truly amazing." Nine-year-old Gu Zhouzhu looked at Gu Chunhai with admiration.
"Why don’t you stop him?" Liu Xiufeng hit him and said, "Your dad’s going to be beaten to death by your second uncle."
"Fight? A fight? I need to see this." Gu Zhouzhu, fearless and excited by the spectacle, followed along.
Gu Lingling shook her head from behind.
Gu Chunli’s son was a total waste.
Not only was he dishonest, but he was also brainless.
"Grandpa, don’t worry, my dad knows what he’s doing." Gu Lingling said to Old Sir Gu.
"I know." Old Sir Gu leaned disappointedly against the wall.
But having vented today, he felt like he had returned to his old self.
"Grandpa, you were awesome today." Gu Lingling gave a thumbs up.
Outside the courtyard, Gu Chunli’s cries of pain and pleading rang out, "Second brother, I’m wrong, I’m wrong, isn’t that enough?"
"Go and see." Old Sir Gu noticed his granddaughter’s mischievous, lively eyes and said with a smile.
"Then I’ll go take a look." To see how her uncle had been disciplined by her father.
If it were up to Lingling, they’d beat him enough this once so that he wouldn’t dare return.
Gu Chunhai thought similarly, so he didn’t hold back, though he avoided hitting Gu Chunli’s face, instead aiming where it would hurt the most on his body.
Within moments, Gu Chunli was yowling for his mother.
"Second uncle, you’re incredible." Gu Zhouzhu, chewing on a bun he had sneaked from who knows where, said to Gu Chunhai, "Can you teach me a few moves?"
So he could use them when he dealt with his cousins from his uncle’s family.
"If you dare rummage through your sister’s room and take her things again, I’ll break your hands." Gu Chunhai glared at him as he spoke.
"I... second uncle, I promise I won’t do it again." Gu Zhouzhu pouted, no wonder Gu Lingling’s room was locked today.
So stingy.
But he didn’t dare talk back to Gu Chunhai; he feared his anger, especially after seeing how his dad got beaten—it looked painful.
Gu Zhouzhu quickly stuffed the last piece of bun into his mouth.
Gu Lingling watched the scene unfold with keen interest.
Liu Xiufeng was also scared at this point.
Since she entered the Gu Family, she rarely came back and thus had little interaction with Gu Chunhai.
Who would have thought that this normally silent second uncle could be so terrifyingly violent? He was truly frightening.
It seemed wiser not to return in the future.
Watching the family of three leave dejectedly, Gu Lingling laughed. It seemed her father and grandfather would no longer be as timid as before.
This was truly good.
