It is well known that the Cloud Top Heavenly Palace was built atop the clouds, a truly magnificent celestial palace.
However, the Lingyun Heavenly Palace before them seemed no less impressive, not only built within the Yunwu mountain range but also guarded by unique divine dragons.
"Lingyun Heavenly Palace, that's a fitting name," Hu Bayi remarked.
His gaze fell upon the palace before him.
The palace was resplendent, with two smaller halls on either side, likely side burial chambers, or ear chambers.
Behind the main hall, other palaces seemed to lie.
The splendor of the entire palace even surpassed that of Yangluo's ancient city.
In front of the palace stood two golden stone pillars, on which five-clawed golden dragons stretched their heads, appearing incredibly majestic.
"Boss, this place is a work of divine craftsmanship. From any angle, it perfectly aligns with a feng shui secret realm."
"It's hard to imagine this being the tomb of a mere border king."
Hu Bayi sighed with emotion.
It was important to remember that the Xian King was not a great king.
Rather, he was a minor king situated in the borderlands.
And this king had even gone into hiding due to war.
Yet, such a person had constructed this imperial tomb, which was more astonishing than many emperors'.
"If this could be brought out, it would be the world's number one wonder!" Professor Li exclaimed excitedly.
He was now completely immersed in his own joy.
Zhang Tian glanced at him.
It was virtually impossible to move such a large tomb.
Firstly, the interior was surely designed with mechanisms, and any misstep would cause the entire imperial tomb to collapse.
Secondly, many of the items within could not be touched. If the expert team were to study them, they would inevitably disturb things, leading to collapse.
The group quickened their pace, arriving in front of the main hall.
Before the hall lay a vast square.
On either side of the square stood four stone pillars.
Clearly, another eight stone pillars.
Looking ahead again.
The colossal palace was right before them.
The design of the palace was also extremely ingenious.
Tiered golden roofs, arranged to form twenty-eight protruding golden domes.
These golden domes collectively represented the twenty-eight constellations.
Within the square in front of the main hall, two golden stone pillars stood before the main entrance, appearing most dazzling.
The gate of the main hall was tightly locked, seemingly requiring a corresponding key.
"My heavens, so much gold, we're rich!" Fatty exclaimed, his eyes gleaming at the sight of the resplendent palace.
Even bringing back a single brick would make them rich.
Despite being wealthy now, Fatty's love for money was a habit he couldn't shake.
The group passed through the square and reached the entrance of the main hall.
On the gate of the main hall were two keyholes, and the stone pillars on either side exuded a sense of solemnity.
"It seems we must find the key to enter."
"And why do these golden dragons make me feel uneasy?" Shirley Yang remarked.
The two stone pillars before them seemed too peculiar.
Zhang Tian also sensed something was amiss.
Why had they not encountered any other traps since opening the tomb door?
Even upon reaching the entrance of the main hall, everything was still as before.
It was as if there were no traps at all.
From their earlier journey, it was clear that King Xian was extremely cunning.
And he would absolutely not allow anyone to enter his tomb.
Therefore, the current tranquility must be a trap.
"Excellent, we'll have something to report back this time!"
Professor Li and Xiao Guang were frantically taking pictures of the stone pillars and the palace.
They looked as if they wanted to photograph every single object around them.
As they were photographing the eighth stone pillar, Xiao Guang suddenly stepped on something, his foot sinking slightly, nearly causing him to fall.
"I think I stepped on something," Xiao Guang said with a hint of uncertainty.
Cold sweat began to bead on his forehead.
He knew that stepping on a trap in such a place was extremely dangerous.
After Xiao Guang triggered something, Zhang Tian and the others immediately became serious.
Zhang Qilin even drew his weapon.
He could sense danger approaching.
"Haha, finally, it's not Fatty triggering the trap, fantastic!" Fatty said lightheartedly from the side.
This guy was always a magnet for traps.
Now that it was someone else, he was naturally delighted.
Xiao Guang, however, dared not move, his face extremely pale.
"What do we do, Teacher Li, Comrade Zhang?" Xiao Guang's voice trembled with anxiety.
Zhang Tian furrowed his brow.
He too felt a sense of danger.
"Careful."
Suddenly, Zhang Tian flashed to Xiao Guang's side.
The next moment, Zhang Tian pulled him, and together they moved aside.
As Zhang Tian pulled Xiao Guang away, the eight stone pillars around them began to shift their positions.
Simultaneously, the stone pillars at the entrance of the main hall also began to change.
"It's over, the trap has been triggered," Fatty's voice echoed.
"Everyone, quickly put on your armor!"
Zhang Tian, almost in the same instant, threw out everyone's armor.
The sense of danger was too intense for Zhang Tian to hesitate.
"Where did you get that from?" Professor Li asked, bewildered, as he looked at the set of magnificent black heavy armor.
Zhang Tian clearly carried nothing, yet he could produce items at will. What was going on?
Professor Li's confusion was short-lived, for the eight stone pillars now seemed to form a circle, trapping everyone within the square.
Looking at the armor Zhang Tian had thrown her, Shirley Yang was surprised.
"Brother Zhang, I have one too?" Shirley Yang asked, astonished.
"Yes, I am the Azure Dragon, Old Hu is the White Tiger, you are the Vermilion Bird, Fatty is the Black Tortoise, and Qilin goes without saying," Zhang Tian explained.
Shirley Yang nodded and quickly donned the armor.
Within moments, Zhang Tian and the others were clad in black armor, standing within the circle formed by the eight stone pillars.
"I'm sorry, it was my carelessness." Xiao Guang apologized.
"We had to face it sooner or later, and the method to open the door is probably on these stone pillars," Zhang Tian replied, unconcerned.
This trap might have been triggered when they arrived, and they simply didn't know it.
"You guys..." Professor Li was shocked, looking at Zhang Tian in his black heavy armor.
The armor looked so heavy, could Zhang Tian, with his slender frame, possibly move?
"This is what we wear when we encounter danger; it can withstand attacks," Zhang Tian explained casually.
Before Zhang Tian could finish, the eight stone pillars linked together.
Strange black banners swirled around each pillar, truly forming a circle that enclosed Zhang Tian and the others.
"Are they trying to trap us?" Fatty's voice was heard.
"Be careful," Zhang Qilin suddenly said, waving his hand, causing everyone to step back.
The next moment, the golden dragons on the pillars of the main hall began to move slowly!
The bodies of the golden dragons swayed continuously on the stone pillars.
Then, the two golden dragons broke free from their stone pillars.
And flew towards Zhang Tian.
At this moment, not only Professor Li, but even Zhang Tian and the others were stunned.
Five-clawed golden dragons, resurrected?
