"Fatty, I think the authenticity of your illusions needs to be verified," Shirley Yang said as she walked alongside.
The group had already exited the ancient city and reached the outskirts. To Zhang Tian's surprise, the camels had not left and were quietly waiting for them. The food Zhang Tian had left under the camels had also been eaten.
After feeding the camels, they mounted them and headed towards the direction of the Loulan ancient kingdom. Fatty, meanwhile, was regaling them with his stories.
"After Fatty was captured by those Jin Yi Wei, Fatty fought back with all his might."
"Fatty, you mean a personal guard, right?" Zhang Tian interjected.
"What does it matter? It's all the same," Fatty waved his hand dismissively.
The group continued their journey, listening to Fatty's tale.
"Damn it, what a rotten palace! Fatty will fight to the death, Fei Fei is Fatty's!" Fatty cursed in the illusion.
The King, eager to marry, had no time to pay attention to Fatty.
"Reporting to Your Majesty, the Consort has entered the palace. Please return to your residence," a eunuch-like figure grovelled on the ground, not daring to look up.
King Zhou glanced at Fatty.
"Lock him up in the dungeon. He will be executed the day after tomorrow," King Zhou waved his hand dismissively, as if discarding trash.
Fatty gritted his teeth. He had never suffered such torment. His eyes darted around.
"Good brother, don't be so heartless. Actually, you've already been cursed," Fatty said with a wicked grin.
"Hmph," King Zhou waved his hand, clearly disbelieving.
Fatty fumbled in his pocket and pulled out a gold coin.
"Look at this," Fatty said, tossing the coin over. The guards caught it.
"It's a gold coin," a guard stated seriously. King Zhou waved his hand, and the guard obediently handed the coin to him.
King Zhou examined the gold coin. He was somewhat curious.
Fatty was taking a gamble, betting that the gold coins carried a curse, and that King Zhou would fall victim to it.
King Zhou stared at the gold coin for a long time, seemingly mesmerized.
"Where did this gold coin come from?" King Zhou asked earnestly.
"Heh heh, from a mysterious place. Your Majesty, if you take me to see the wedding procession, Fatty will agree to take you there," Fatty said like a mischievous uncle.
King Zhou glanced at the guards around him, then nodded.
"Hmph, what's the harm in letting you see?" he said, leading Fatty towards the wedding venue.
"Fatty, can your illusions be any more idiotic?" Zhang Tian muttered, listening to the story.
King Zhou was a fool to be so easily fooled by Fatty. As expected of Fatty's dreams, they lacked any technical skill.
"Boss, that's not the point! The real point is later, Fatty confessed to Yao Yao... confessed!" Fatty wriggled, and the camel beneath him seemed startled, its legs giving way as if it almost fell.
"Confessed? Confessed?" Not only Zhang Tian, but even Hu Bayi froze.
Everyone stared at Fatty as if they had seen a ghost. Even Zhang Qilin looked over.
"Listen to Fatty's account."
Fatty continued. After King Zhou brought Fatty to the wedding residence, Fatty's true nature emerged. He wasn't afraid of the guards. It was all an act, meant to lower King Zhou's guard.
Looking at the sedan chair at the entrance, King Zhou appeared calm. He waved his hand, and the servants dispersed. Since it wasn't a wedding for the Empress, it wasn't overly grand.
"What's the harm in letting you see?" he said, tapping the sedan chair.
"Yao'er, come out and enter with me," King Zhou announced. A woman in a luxurious red dress slowly emerged from the sedan chair. She had exquisite makeup, fiery red lips, large eyes, and curved eyebrows. Her oval face was pale. On her red cloth shoes, a beautiful yellow flower was embroidered.
"Yao Guang greets the King..." Yao Guang's face turned from pale to surprised when she saw Fatty.
"Yao'er, is that how you address me?" King Zhou asked, confused.
"Is Yao'er something you can call me?" Fatty's voice came from behind King Zhou.
King Zhou spun around abruptly. Upon seeing the familiar round face, King Zhou was stunned. He then looked at his guards; indeed, they had all been beaten down by Fatty.
"You were pretending!" King Zhou exclaimed, furious.
"That's right. I did my best to cooperate with your act. How was Fatty's acting, Brother Zhou?" Fatty chuckled, and with a wave of his hand, the broken sword pierced King Zhou's body.
King Zhou's eyes widened, unable to utter a word.
"You killed King Zhou!" Yao Guang cried out in shock as she watched Fatty kill King Zhou.
"Yao Yao, whether in heaven or on earth, whether you are married or have children, Fatty will not mind," Fatty declared. "At worst, Fatty will elope with you and your hundred family members, or Fatty will become King himself. With Fatty here, Fei Fei won't have to do things she dislikes!"
Fatty, covered in blood, hugged Yao Guang tightly.
Zhang Tian: "???! Having children???"
Hu Bayi: "???Married???"
Cao Cao? As expected of Fatty, his sweet talk stunned both of them. Where did he learn this from, from that village doctor?
However, Fatty's words might not have resonated with others, but they were devastating to the Consort. The Consort had always felt impure, not physically, but mentally. After all, it was Fatty's first time, but she was already second-hand. The Consort had always felt guilty. Thus, this dream came about, and when Fatty spoke these words, he had clearly broken through the Consort's inner defenses.
As Fatty embraced her, the surrounding scene began to crumble inch by inch. The surroundings turned pitch black. Only the Fei Fei in his arms felt cold.
"Are you telling the truth?" a voice whispered in his ear.
"Of course, truer than gold. Fatty is willing to be with Fei Fei even if it means giving up money," Fatty said earnestly. Fatty still remembered the time the Consort saved him; it was truly touching. Fatty had decided then that he would marry no one else, or rather, no one else would he marry.
"Hmm, then call me Madam Yao Guang from now on."
"Okay, Yao Yao."
"Madam Yao Guang!"
"Okay, Yao Yao..."
"Stop!"
"Fatty, aren't you being too cheesy?" Zhang Tian pressed the pause button. If Fatty continued like this, Zhang Tian felt he wouldn't need to eat.
"Heh heh, Boss, you single dog, you wouldn't understand. Go urinate with Second Brother while watching the sunset," Fatty chuckled. Zhang Tian ignored him.
"How romantic," Shirley Yang murmured beside them. Although she was a modern woman, everyone dreamed of a romantic fairytale. Truth be told, Shirley Yang had never been confessed to. Hu Bayi glanced at her secretly, his head bowed, lost in thought.
"Old Hu, what do you think? Isn't Fatty's dream perfect?" Fatty grinned. "Fatty is a professional. Old Hu, how about Fatty teaches you how to write love letters?"
Hu Bayi glared at Fatty, his eyes wide like copper bells. Hu Bayi was stunned. When did Fatty become qualified to teach him anything, let alone love letters? Could they be reliable?
