Following Ryūjin Jakka’s lead, Finn shifted the battleground to his inner world—the same space where he’d encountered Number Two.

Ryūjin Jakka was undeniably powerful. Within that mental landscape, Finn exerted every ounce of his strength, engaging in a grueling battle that spanned three days and three nights before finally managing to defeat Ryūjin Jakka, forcing it into a state of complete submission.

Drawing Ryūjin Jakka once more, Finn carefully felt the immense power he hadn’t previously detected. Even he was taken aback by its magnitude.

"Bankai... I really want to try it!" Finn muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on the Zanpakutō in his hand.

However, such a prospect remained firmly in the realm of fantasy. Finn clearly recalled Ryūjin Jakka’s solemn warning: the power unleashed by Bankai was so immense that even if Finn remained completely motionless, simply standing in place, the world would be destroyed within a short period of time. Such a power was best left dormant, unused.

Dismissing the thought from his mind, Finn finally turned his attention to the state of his surroundings. He let out a weary sigh.

"Looks like I’ve caused some serious damage," he muttered to himself. "I thought by deliberately choosing a remote, desolate location far from the guildhall, I could minimize any potential repercussions. But it seems I drastically underestimated Ryūjin Jakka’s power."

After a few moments of self-reflection, Finn turned and left the devastated area.

Back at the Fairy Tail guildhall, the return to normal temperatures had rekindled the guild’s usual vibrant energy.

"Everyone, I’m back!" Finn announced, bursting through the guild doors with a powerful kick.

"Why couldn’t you just open the door normally?" Macao grumbled good-naturedly.

"Welcome back! How was your training?" Mirajane greeted him warmly, her smile devoid of any hint of reproach.

Finn returned her smile, nodding in confirmation. "Very successful, indeed!"

Upon seeing Finn’s return, Nancy spread her wings and gracefully flew to his side, her gaze carefully scrutinizing him from head to toe. Finn felt a twinge of unease under her intense scrutiny.

"Speaking of which," Nancy said, finally settling before Finn, her voice laced with a hint of suspicion, "was the recent heatwave your doing?"

Finn had already heard whispers about the extreme heatwave from the townspeople upon his return. For the past few days, the entire town of Magnolia had been enveloped in an unprecedented heatwave, causing significant disruption to the lives of its inhabitants.

Feeling a pang of guilt, Finn hesitated for a moment before finally nodding in confirmation. "During my training, I may have... exerted myself a bit too much," he admitted sheepishly.

Upon hearing Finn’s admission, Nancy’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

"It really was you! What in the world were you training?" she exclaimed, her voice laced with a mixture of astonishment and concern.

"The aftereffects of your training actually managed to affect the entire climate of Magnolia. Were you trying to destroy the world?" Nancy added, her voice laced with a hint of playful exasperation.

Internally, Finn couldn’t help but acknowledge the truth of Nancy’s statement—he truly did possess the capacity to cause such widespread devastation. However, choosing to exercise a degree of humility, he refrained from making such a bold declaration.

Instead, he gently stroked the golden kitten’s head, offering a reassuring gesture.

"Nonsense, I could only manage to destroy a country at most," Finn replied, his voice laced with a hint of playful understatement.

Nancy’s face darkened with exasperation.

"Are you even listening to yourself? What kind of statement is that?" she muttered under her breath, her voice filled with disbelief.

Ignoring Nancy’s stunned expression, Finn approached Makarov, offering a detailed explanation of the events that had transpired during his training.

Upon confirming Finn’s responsibility for the heatwave, Makarov, despite having anticipated such a possibility, couldn’t help but feel a surge of apprehension. After a long, drawn-out sigh, he expressed his astonishment.

"These youngsters these days are getting more and more outrageous!"

The day following Finn’s return from his intense training, the Fairy Tail guildhall remained unusually quiet and sparsely populated, a stark contrast to its usual bustling atmosphere. Occasionally, a fleeting figure could be seen rushing past, their movements hurried and purposeful.

Lucy, gazing forlornly at the meager number of job requests posted on the guild’s job board—a mere two requests—felt a wave of despair wash over her.

For the past two days, the guild members had been unusually active, frantically accepting job requests at an unprecedented rate. Jobs that typically remained unclaimed for months were now completely cleared from the board.

After examining the two remaining job requests, Lucy finally understood why these particular requests had not yet been taken. These jobs were not typical mage work; one involved babysitting a child, and the other involved caring for a pet. In essence, they were essentially menial tasks, akin to those performed by a servant or domestic worker.

Furthermore, the reward offered for these jobs was exceptionally meager, with the combined pay for both tasks not even reaching 10,000J.

"Completely insufficient..." Lucy muttered to herself, her voice laced with a hint of desperation.

"How on earth am I supposed to pay my rent?!" she cried out in despair, her voice filled with anguish.

Meanwhile, Finn, cradling a mug in his hands, watched the sword fight unfolding before him with unrestrained amusement. The combatants were Erza and Panther Lily, who had temporarily reverted to his human-sized form.

The clash of steel against steel, the rhythmic clang of swords, created a mesmerizing spectacle that instinctively caused those nearby to move away, creating a safe distance from the intense duel.

It was undeniable that Panther Lily, having temporarily regained his human-sized form, was surprisingly adept at swordsmanship, managing to hold his own against the formidable Erza.

However, it wasn’t long before Panther Lily’s larger form began to falter, and he was forced to revert back to his diminutive size. Wiping the sweat from his brow, Panther Lily acknowledged the strain the intense battle had placed upon him.

"It seems I’m still unable to maintain my larger form for extended periods," Panther Lily remarked, his voice laced with a hint of self-awareness.

"Still, it’s quite impressive. There are very few individuals who can match Erza’s swordsmanship," Finn said with a chuckle, his voice filled with genuine admiration.

"Indeed, Panther Lily possesses remarkable skill, his swordsmanship is quite exceptional," Erza commented, sheathing her sword gracefully after the duel had concluded.

Panther Lily, however, shook his head modestly, his voice laced with humility. "I should say that you, Erza, are truly exceptional."

Seeing that the sword fight had concluded, Finn moved to another table, greeting Wendy, Lisanna, Carla, and Nancy, who were already seated there. Carla was currently explaining her newly discovered ability to foresee the future.

Since discovering her precognitive abilities, Carla had gained a degree of control over them. However, there were still instances where visions of the future would unexpectedly flash through her mind, completely beyond her control. She speculated that as her abilities grew stronger, she would eventually be able to exert greater control over them.

To demonstrate her abilities, Carla accurately predicted the upcoming conversation between Macao and Wakaba, although the content of their conversation was rather crude and juvenile. Nevertheless, this did little to diminish the astonishment of the other two guild members and the cat.

"That’s quite impressive, Carla," Finn commented, raising his mug in admiration.

"Of course," Carla replied proudly, her head held high. However, she then added with a sigh of resignation, "Predicting such mundane and trivial matters is hardly of any practical use."

Nancy, however, offered a different perspective. "It’s still incredibly impressive," she stated, her voice laced with genuine admiration.

"Yeah!" Wendy and Lisanna chimed in, their voices filled with agreement.

"Speaking of which, Finn, what’s this ’time of year’ everyone keeps talking about?" Wendy asked, her curiosity piqued.

Finn gently stroked the young girl’s head, his expression thoughtful.

"Well, that will be revealed tomorrow. So, let’s just leave it as a surprise for now," Finn said with a playful smile.

Upon hearing Finn’s response, Wendy nodded obediently, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Finn chuckled softly, his gaze sweeping across the faces of the guild members gathered around him.

"I’m really looking forward to seeing who it will be this year," Finn murmured to himself, before draining the contents of his mug in one swift movement.

After checking the time, Finn made his way towards the backstage area. He and the other S-class mages had arranged to meet Makarov at this specific time to finalize the list of candidates for an upcoming event.

The following day... at the Fairy Tail guildhall...
