This was because any driver who remained in the top five at this stage was extremely strong. After overtaking Dai Xihao, Wang Shu drove for a long stretch without catching sight of the taillights of the fifth-placed car. Wang Shu continued to drive at full throttle, in fifth gear.
Based on the track conditions, in about two kilometers ahead, there was a sandy area. In sandy terrain, driving was extremely difficult. This was Wang Shu’s last chance. So, Wang Shu pushed his engine to its limit and sprinted forward. A few minutes later, he finally reached the sandy section. As expected, he saw the silhouettes of those cars here. Even though it was a sandy section, Wang Shu noticed that the speed of these cars was not slow. They were all driving steadily forward. Wang Shu followed closely, and after much effort, he finally caught up with the group.
“This guy actually made it up here. I said it before, anyone driving this car is either extraordinary or an idiot.”
