Chapter 529 529: Helpful Spies.

Her suggestion was enlightening. He liked it so much that he texted her saying, "Wow. That's not actually a bad idea."

She felt encouraged by his compliment so she sent more messages. "I can sense that your foundation can convert lightning to wood and convert wood to lightning. This should be the foundation of the harmony that you have created between the two elements, and it cannot be changed."

"But you can try to enhance this harmony by fusing wood and lightning into a completely new state. Think of it as trying to create a new element of mana."

He texted back, "That's a great idea."

She said modestly, "It is nothing actually. I just noticed it as a potential of something you're capable of after watching you for so long."

The last part of her message made his face darken. He still wasn't comfortable with the idea of someone spying on him, but he didn't dwell too much on it now because she had more to say.

"As good as the idea might be, it might be useless to you because it is going to be difficult to implement. Anyway, I will be glad as long as you find my suggestion helpful."

What she said about how she had been spying on him gave him an idea on what to do to solve his current problem.

He said to himself, "Stella isn't the only one spying on me. If she can provide helpful suggestions after observing me for so long, the insight that I will gain from the patriarchs should be more useful."

His idea is to ask the patriarchs for advice. He felt that they owed me that much after spying on him for so long.

He doesn't actually need to complete the remaining 5% of the Life and Death Lightning Art. In his current state, he has about a 97% chance of successfully advancing to the fourth mortal coil. But that isn't enough for him.

Unless his chances of advancing to the fourth mortal coil are not 100%, he won't try to advance because doing so means that he will have to give up some of his life seeds when he transcends the third mortal coil.

If the breakthrough process is not perfect, some of his life seeds will be lost in the process. He doesn't want that, as that will make some of his efforts building his foundation, establishing it, and transforming it go to waste.

So he made up his mind to meet the patriarchs and ask them for advice. He was so serious about this that he left his apartment to see a patriarch immediately.

As he left, he said to himself, "They are my caretakers. So they should take care of me. They surely can't harm me. At most, they will say that they don't have time for me."

His mind was made up, and so he left in the direction of the council hall. This is a building on a floating island, so he didn't take Roar with him.

This building is where the avatars

On his way there, Stella asked him, "Where are you going?"

He replied, "I want to see a patriarch."

She replied quickly, "Don't go to the council hall. Patriarch Evergreen is there right now, and she is very angry. I don't think meeting her is a good idea."

After saying that, she said, "Come to my place. My teacher has an avatar here. You can meet him and ask him for advice."

Arthur wasn't sure what to think about her information. But he didn't have any reason to doubt her. After all, he has seen how accurate her snooping can be, so he thought that he could trust her judgment just this once.

So he changed his direction of flight and went in the direction of her floating island. He has never been there before, but he has seen her come down from it.

When he got there, she was already waiting at the edge of the island for him. As soon as he saw her, he noticed that she now had tattoos on her skin.

The tattoos were tiny and covered every inch of her skin. They were also golden just like her eyes and hair.

The appearance of the tattoos and her glowing golden eyes signified that she had undergone a great upheaval. So he inspected her even further in order to be sure of his guess about the reason for the changes in her.

He brushed her with his divine sense and felt some resistance from her. This resistance from her was from her divine sense. This wasn't something that she possessed before.

This new information all but confirmed his suspicions about her. So he said, "Congratulations on your advancement to the third mortal coil."

She lowered her head shyly and said, "Thank you, master Red Mane."

He sighed and said, "I'm not Red Mane anymore. I'm Daoist Lightning Tyrant now."

She smiled and said, "I know. I just like Red Mane better."

He shook his head but didn't argue with her. Then he looked around at the island and asked, "Where is your master?"

He was in a hurry, so he didn't try to exchange pleasantries. Aside from his rush for time, he didn't have anything to say to her that he didn't think she didn't know after spying on him for so long.

He also didn't care much about her life and how she is doing. So he didn't bother with the exchange of pleasantries before asking for what he came for.

She replied, "He is at the top of the Tower. Let me take you to meet him. Follow me."

He said to her, "Thank you."

She smiled and said, "You're welcome."

He nodded while his gazed roamed the island and everything on it.

As his eyes and divine sense wandered, he noticed that her house was a grand castle. The castle was even walled for some reason, and the walls were as high as 50 meters.
