Chapter 1020: Crossover Logs, Log 2: Jamie Westley

Crossover Log: Jamie

Jamie Franklin Westley.

His parents gave the most normal names to the most abnormal dude out there.

If I had to sum up my impression of Jamie in a single phrase, it would be "a walking anomaly".

How do you even begin to describe someone like him? If you called him a 'Supreme' Demon King, you wouldn't be wrong, but you wouldn't be right either. If you called him an Apex Hybrid, a Cosmic Anomaly, or just an unreasonable existence, you'd still be missing the full picture.

Like Arthur, he's someone from a different universe, and like Arthur, he also talks about it in the most nonchalant ways possible.

If Arthur mentions being from another universe like it's the planet next door, Jamie says it like it's some distant vacation spot he left behind a few million years ago.

And that's just one of the many ridiculous things about him.

Jamie didn't arrive in this universe by some accident, nor was he summoned or forcibly dragged here.

He came here because he felt like it.

And the kicker? He isn't even fully here.

From what he says, his real body is still out there doing what almost all absurdly overpowered cosmic entities do—SLEEPING.

The Jamie we know—the one we interact with—is just an extension of his consciousness and power, a fragment he sent into this universe because he got bored while sleeping.

How the hell do you even get bored while sleeping?!

That, in itself, should tell you everything you need to know about him. He was so powerful that even sleep bored him, so he split off a part of himself, created a physical body, and dropped it here to kill time— all while still asleep.

I'm putting a lot of emphasis on this whole sleep thing, aren't I?

Well, why wouldn't I, when despite all that, he still ended up as a Supreme Demon King?

Because of course, he did.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that he's not even a Demon?

Well, now I have.

Moving on to his Status, Jamie holds a long list of titles that I'm not even going to bother listing.

I'd just focus on his Race Ruler title—Demon King of the Void.

Apparently, he's the one who introduced the Race Ruler system to this universe in the first place. He could just as easily be an Angel King, Vampire King, or Dragon King if he felt like it. The only reason he's technically on the Demon side is because his friends are Demons.

That's it. No grand agenda. No greater cause. He's just vibing.

As for what this 'Demon King who's not a Demon' actually is—he's a Hybrid. Or, as his status calls it, THE Alpha Hybrid.

Born from some insane experiment by a crazy bitch—wait, sorry, I meant witch—where his Ancient Breed Werewolf bloodline was forcibly fused with a Vampire bloodline.

Make sense why his book is called Beyond the Bloodline.

The fourth wall breaks aside, his real body's Existence Level is something called Zenith Haven.

This isn't even his final form!

Not about to stress my brain trying to process that, I'll just focus on the High-Tier Deity fragment that I actually know.

Now, I haven't seen him fight, and all I know is hearsay, but the rumours alone are terrifying. Apparently, he fought that bastard god Emperor to a standstill.

Did I forget to mention that the god Emperor is an entire Existence Level higher than him?

Yeah. That little detail must've gotten lost in translation.

The gap in power between the two levels makes the idea of that fight sound like a human holding back a hurricane—except, in this case, the human is laughing and drinking while doing it.

And the thing is, I don't even know if he was going all out.

If I had to rank the three of us—Arthur, Jamie, and myself—on the sheer scale of universal absurdity, Jamie is, without a doubt, the most "Singularity" out of all of us.

During our introduction, he casually mentioned that, in Causality's perspective, "the room was empty, and it purposely ignored us since trying to compute our existences would result in errors."

I'm pretty sure that was 90% just him.

Um, we're supposed to be talking about personality next, right?

Jamie's is… unique.

Devil-may-care attitude? Check. Hedonistic tendencies? Absolutely. He has the kind of personality that makes you wonder whether he actually cares about anything, yet at the same time, you just know he does. It's just that he enjoys playing around too much.

The guy lives for pleasure, indulging in whatever amuses him at the moment—be it fine drinks, absurd conversations, or casually breaking the laws of reality.

Wait, you haven't seen him break the laws of reality?

Excuse me?

Did you forget that he completely negated the laws of time and causality from restricting me from speaking about the future?

Then he just wrapped it up with, "That should hold for an hour. Carry on, Evan."

The guy would crack jokes about universal truths, throw out knowledge that could reshape entire civilizations, and then shrug like he just gave you a weather update.

Despite being a Demon King, he's close friends with Artemisia and Beatrix's parents, who are god Rulers. That says a lot about how he doesn't really care about racial or societal barriers and befriends anyone who takes his fancy.

Honestly, that's not a bad trait to have.

Now, his relationships with others.

For Alvey, there's acknowledgement and amusement. Jamie sees him as someone with potential, someone who might one day reach the heights of the Demon Kings.

Well, he's not wrong about that for sure.

Next up is Beatrix. The daughter of one of his old friends. He treats her with a mix of playfulness and casual guidance, but there's also an underlying protectiveness. That much was clear from the incident when I "found out" Beatrix was the one who sent me back in time.

He treats Artemisia similarly to Beatrix, though with less teasing. He sure as hell knows about Artemisia being the Universe's favourite, and is definitely keeping an eye on her growth.

Moving on, McEnda III is in a way, similar to Artemisia and Beatrix from Jamie's perspective. While McEnda III sees him like he would any other Demon King, Jamie sees McEnda III as his friend's son.

Lastly, Arthur.

This is where things get dangerous.

Those two together make a guaranteed disaster waiting to happen. The moment they met, common sense left the room.

Sorry, it ran out of the room, dragging its brothers 'Logic' and 'Restraint' along with it.

Weapons and Power? Haven't we gone over this already?

I don't know what Weapons he uses—probably mastered all of them—but he's got Void Manipulation and can erase existences.

What more do you wanna know? His Imperial Privileges? I don't even know what those do!

What does the future hold for Jamie?

Whatever he wants.

At this point, I'm convinced he's just treating this entire universe like some entertainment show.

But hey, if Jamie Westley is entertained, that means something ridiculous is bound to happen sooner or later.

And frankly?

I DON'T wanna see what that is.
