Chapter 57: Got Through

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Got Through

The nurse was taken aback for a moment, didn’t ask more, and immediately entered the emergency room.

She looked at the person on the hospital bed and relayed the recent conversation to the doctor.

The doctor glanced at the severely injured person on the bed; his will to survive was very strong.

Then, the doctor stepped forward and leaned close to his ear and said.

"Serena has been in pain for a long time, just entered the delivery room, you must wake up, she needs you."

After a long while, there was no response from the person on the bed.

Seeing no reaction from him, the doctor was about to turn away and leave.

Suddenly.

The person on the bed, wearing an oxygen mask and with eyes tightly shut, suddenly opened his eyes wide.

The doctors and nurses were delighted.

They quickly began to busy themselves, but when the doctor inquired.

Elias Lancaster didn’t pay them any mind, he immediately reached out and removed all the instruments from his body.

"What’s the date today?"

The nurse quickly answered him.

This man had been in critical condition twice, his heart had stopped beating at one point.

Subsequently, a group of doctors rushed in, and when they saw Elias Lancaster sitting on the hospital bed, all the doctors were taken aback for a moment.

They were puzzled; this man had required resuscitation for a full 10 hours when he was brought in, had been in critical condition twice, but now he looked full of vigor, as if nothing had happened.

"When can I leave?"

The doctor furrowed his brows.

"Your injuries are severe, with a fractured right leg and intracranial bleeding. We brought you back from the brink of death twice, you need proper recuperation, you’re not out of danger yet."

Elias Lancaster touched his head, which was wrapped in bandages, and indeed felt uncomfortable.

He looked at himself, grateful that everything was intact, nothing was missing. He was relieved that he reacted quickly, otherwise, he might have been blown to pieces.

"Is there any life-threatening danger, can I hold on for two hours?"

Ronan Keaton just entered after putting on sterile clothing and immediately heard this sentence.

Sure enough, he knew nothing was more important than Serena. As long as Serena was there, he would definitely wake up.

The doctors quickly began to examine Elias Lancaster.

Elias Lancaster cooperated as well.

Finally, the doctors unanimously decided.

"You’re a critically injured patient, you cannot leave this room until some examination results are out."

Elias Lancaster furrowed his brows and looked at Ronan Keaton.

"How is Serena?"

Ronan Keaton’s expression changed, "She started labor last night, and has been in pain ever since, she just entered the delivery room not long ago."

"Give me a phone, all of you get out."

Ronan Keaton glanced at the doctor, and the doctor nodded, instructing, "We’ll be right outside, call us immediately if you feel unwell, and remember, you must keep your emotions under control."

After saying that, the doctor and nurses all left.

Ronan Keaton forced a smile on his face, but it was strained.

The room was quiet, Elias Lancaster looked around.

The hospital he was in was just an ordinary one, but the doctor had been arranged in advance by Theodore Lynch, just in case.

Otherwise, he might have been killed as soon as he arrived at the hospital, wouldn’t have survived till now, since after all, this was someone else’s territory.

Elias Lancaster got the phone, raised his hand with difficulty, and began entering numbers he had memorized by heart.

His hands trembled; starting from last night the pain persisted till today, it must have hurt a lot!

He had promised her that he would come back to accompany her during childbirth.

The more he thought, the more excited and flustered he became.

The nearby instrument began to make abnormal sounds.

Ronan Keaton was startled, quickly reminded.

"Elias Lancaster, you must keep your emotions stable."

Ronan Keaton hurriedly picked up an oxygen mask next to him, let Elias Lancaster inhale oxygen, slowly calming him down.

Finally, Elias Lancaster finished entering the number and dialed out.

But no one answered.

His mind was a mess; even if she had entered the delivery room, someone nearby should answer the phone, was something wrong?

The heart monitor beeped abnormally again.

Unwilling to give up, he dialed again, this time trying to get out of bed while holding the phone.

One ring, two rings, three rings...

Just as he was about to put down the phone, it was answered, and a familiar voice came through.

"Hello, who is this?"

This phone and the number were newly arranged by Ronan Keaton and delivered immediately when they sent him to the hospital.

But Elias Lancaster recognized it, it was Nia Irving’s voice.

"Where’s Serena?"

"Young Master, Serena has been in pain for a long time, she’s in the delivery room now, we’re waiting outside."

Just as Nia Irving finished speaking, Old Master Lancaster snatched the phone.

"Elias, how are you all doing?"

Old Master Lancaster had been worried since receiving Ronan Keaton’s call, wondering if he would make it through, and now hearing Elias Lancaster call back.

He was anxious!~

"Serena entered the delivery room?"

Elias Lancaster was more anxious now, insisting on getting out of bed.

Ronan Keaton held his shoulders down.

"Elias, you’re severely injured, your heart is damaged, your hands and legs have various degrees of fractures, you shouldn’t get off the bed."

Elias Lancaster looked at him, said calmly.

"Have Theodore Lynch arrange a plane, apply for a direct flight, I need to go back."

Old Master Lancaster heard what he said and excitedly shouted into the phone.

"Are you willing to risk your life? Calm down, we’re here."

Elias Lancaster ignored him, stubbornly got off the bed.

"I have to go back; I promised Serena I’d be with her, she’ll be scared without me."

"Your mother has already gone in to accompany her, with so many of us here, there’s no safety issue, the doctor is one of ours, she’ll be fine with the baby.

If you come back and end up losing your life, have you thought about how sad Serena would be?"

Elias Lancaster looked at his leg, unable to move it at all.

Old Master Lancaster knew his son’s nature.

Reluctantly, he said, "Wait a bit, you’re severely injured, the doctors have issued critical warnings, lie down and recover well, I’ll have the nurse bring a phone into the delivery room, video chat should be okay, right?"

After a long time.

Elias Lancaster finally sat back on the bed, gently agreed.

Then.

Old Master Lancaster called the nurse, after disinfecting the phone, sent it into the delivery room.

In the delivery room, Serena Yeats was already having a hard time enduring the pain.

Old Madam Lancaster was anxious, tightly holding her hand, and seeing the doctors and nurses still making preliminary preparations, she shouted directly.

"Hurry up, she can’t bear the pain anymore."

Just after shouting, a nurse rushed over, handing Serena Yeats the phone.

"Soon, Master Lancaster will video chat with Young Madam, that will help her a bit."

Old Madam Lancaster held the phone, slightly stunned, Master Lancaster? Had Elias contacted?

At that moment, Serena Yeats, who was enduring the severe pain with her eyes closed, suddenly opened her eyes, reaching for the phone.

Old Madam Lancaster quickly passed the phone to her, "Serena, don’t be afraid, Elias will video chat with you."

Serena Yeats clutched the phone tightly, finally smiling on her pale face, and her eyes were filled with anticipation.

The doctors and nurses finished preparing, guiding Serena Yeats to push, but the phone still held no movement.

"Elias..."

Serena Yeats couldn’t help but call out.

Old Madam Lancaster glanced at the phone, the video call hadn’t been made yet, she was anxious too.

But the doctors reminded Serena Yeats to push, and Serena Yeats immediately exerted force, her breathing unsteady.

"Mom, why hasn’t Elias called for the video yet, ah... it hurts..."
