Chapter 239: Chapter 66 Bai Feifei: Senior sister, how could you steal my man!_2
"Senior Sister, why did you drink so much last night?" Bai Feifei changed the subject.
Upon hearing her junior sister’s words, Miao Man’s expression soured, and she fell silent for a moment.
"Well, you two chat. I’ll go buy some breakfast," Sun Dasheng said, pushing the door open and leaving.
Seeing that they were alone in the room, Miao Man finally spoke. "Qu Youbai, that bastard. I caught him two-timing me on the spot, so I was in a bad mood and had a few too many at the bar."
"What?" Bai Feifei covered her mouth in shock. "But Senior Qu seems like such an honest person, and you two had such a good relationship. Besides, you’re beautiful, Senior Sister. How could he...?"
"I guess I’m not as kinky as that other woman," Miao Man said through gritted teeth. "You should have seen it. That themed hotel room was filled with uniforms, handcuffs, whips... They really know how to have fun."
"Just because of that?" Bai Feifei still found it hard to believe.
"Isn’t that enough?" Miao Man retorted, and Bai Feifei didn’t know what to say.
"I really can’t believe Senior Qu is that kind of person," Bai Feifei sighed in disbelief.
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Hearing the knocking, Bai Feifei thought Sun Dasheng had returned and went to get the door.
The person standing there wasn’t who she expected, though it was someone familiar—the very same Qu Youbai she and Senior Sister Miao had just been discussing.
He looked haggard, with bloodshot eyes and a pale complexion. Upon seeing Bai Feifei, he forced a faint smile.
"Feifei, you’re here too. Is your senior sister inside?"
He recognized his girlfriend’s roommate. She was very pretty, and he had even been tempted by her before. But because she was so close to his girlfriend, he was afraid of being found out and had always tried to keep his distance. He was always polite whenever they met.
Just as Bai Feifei was wondering how to answer, Miao Man’s voice came from inside the room.
"You cheater! You still have the nerve to show your face here?"
Hearing his girlfriend’s voice, he gave Bai Feifei an apologetic smile and barged inside.
"Man Man, let me explain. She and I are just ordinary friends."
Bai Feifei let out a small snort of laughter but quickly covered her mouth when she remembered they were right inside. She gently pushed the door almost closed, leaving a small crack. She stood by the entrance, ready to enjoy the drama, but also positioned to make a quick exit if things went south.
"Ordinary friends?" Miao Man scoffed. "What kind of ordinary friends end up in bed together?"
"Man Man, you’re always so impulsive. I already told you, we’re just friends. She was feeling sick last night, so I got her a room to rest in. Nothing happened between us. As for the props you saw on the bed, I honestly have no idea. They must have been left by the previous guests. They were there when we got in."
Miao Man was astounded by his words. Catching a cheater in the act is like catching a thief red-handed. And here he is, caught red-handed, and he still refuses to admit it. Incredible.
Miao Man chuckled coldly. There was no point in arguing with someone like this.
"Just leave," she declared. "As of yesterday, we’re through. Don’t ever come looking for me again. We’re done for good."
"I told you I didn’t cheat! I’m not two-timing you! Why won’t you listen?" Qu Youbai grew frantic. This was a girlfriend he absolutely could not afford to lose.
Any talk of a deep relationship was bullshit. The truth was, her family was incredibly well-connected. They weren’t just wealthy; they had connections within the government system that could guarantee him a comfortable job after graduation. He had known this from the moment he started pursuing her. He wouldn’t have invested years of tireless effort to win her over otherwise.
If they broke up now, all his prior investments would go down the drain. He couldn’t accept it. My luck is just too rotten. The one time I go out to cheat, I get caught. He suspected someone had ratted him out, trying to sabotage his relationship.
At that thought, he suddenly remembered seeing an unfamiliar luxury car parked downstairs when he arrived. It must have been new to the area.
He looked up at his girlfriend and sneered, "Miao Man, don’t tell me this was all a setup by you, was it?"
"Qu, what are you trying to say?" Miao Man’s lips trembled with anger. So he’s trying to shift the blame now that he can’t talk his way out of it?
"Whose Rolls-Royce is parked downstairs? I’ve never seen it here before," Qu Youbai demanded.
Miao Man was baffled. A Rolls-Royce? Is there really a car like that downstairs? She had gotten home late in the middle of the night, dead drunk; she wouldn’t have noticed.
Her confused expression made Qu Youbai think he had her cornered.
"Lost for words? Or are you just afraid to speak? Fine. So you were the one who cheated first, Miao Man. You were afraid I’d make a scene, so you set me up last night. You made me look like the cheater, caught in the act, just so you’d have a righteous excuse to break up with me and leave me with the blame. You’re ruthless."
"What are you talking about? I don’t understand a single word," Miao Man replied, certain he must have lost his mind.
"Still playing dumb? Who in our rundown neighborhood drives a Rolls-Royce? Did you hook up with some rich tycoon, and now you look down on a poor guy like me and want to dump me?"
Qu Youbai felt like he’d uncovered the truth. Of course, he selectively forgot about the younger student he had called last night, now framing her as the bait his girlfriend had used to trap him. So that’s why that junior sister kept approaching me for no reason, flattering me, dropping hints... It was all arranged by you.
Just then, Sun Dasheng walked in carrying breakfast.
