Chapter 134: Chapter 23 Romance on the Balcony_2

He looked down at the woman in his arms with some surprise. Her face, full of desire, made it obvious what she needed. She was just too shy to say it outright, so she could only use these subtle actions to express her thoughts.

"You want it?" Sun Dasheng whispered into her ear.

At this, Wu Xiaoli’s face turned even redder, and she practically buried her head in his chest.

"If you don’t say anything, I guess I’ll just leave," Sun Dasheng teased.

"Don’t!"

She tightened her grip on the man’s waist.

"Oh? But if you don’t tell me, how am I supposed to know what you want?"

This man is awful. Does he really have to make me say those embarrassing words?

"If you won’t say it, I’m really leaving," Sun Dasheng ’threatened,’ even feinting with his feet.

"Don’t!" Wu Xiaoli looked up, her face crimson. "I want you to stay with me."

Her voice grew softer and softer until it was almost a whisper.

"Stay with you to do what?" Sun Dasheng asked with a wicked grin.

"To do... *that*. You’re so annoying! Do you really have to make me spell it out?" Wu Xiaoli pouted.

Alright, a little flirting is fine. The key is getting the intensity right. If I overdo it, this could backfire.

Sun Dasheng stopped teasing her and scooped her up by the waist. He nuzzled his face against hers, and she responded eagerly. Just as he was about to undress, she reached out and stopped him.

"Not here. Mom could be back any minute. Let’s go to the bedroom."

Sun Dasheng happily obliged. He carried her back to the bedroom, kicking off Shanghai City’s new year with a bang.

Mother Wu came home a bit early today. The New Year holiday was over, and the number of people traveling back was increasing. More people meant more chaos. Her heart was weak and she couldn’t stand that environment, so she had come home early.

The fingerprint lock on the front door was high-tech, so she never had to worry about being locked out because of a forgotten key. It was great for older people with poor memories.

She pressed her finger on the sensor. CLICK.

The door opened.

After coming inside and changing her shoes, she noticed quite a few bags on the floor. She walked over and opened one. The sight of smoked, blackened cured meat that looked rather grimy met her eyes. She didn’t look disgusted at all. Instead, she happily picked a piece up and sniffed it. Mmm, the familiar aroma.

Who brought all this? Did we have a guest today?

At this thought, she was about to call her daughter out to ask. But the words died on her lips as she heard faint sounds coming from her daughter’s room. As an experienced woman, she knew exactly what was going on.

She shook her head with a smile.

These young people have no self-control. It’s not even dark yet and they’re already at it. Back in my day, we would have had to wait until after dark, no matter what. If someone found out, we would’ve been scolded.

Since they were busy, she decided to move everything from the living room to the storage room.

「A few minutes earlier, in the bedroom.」

Wu Xiaoli, who was on top of Sun Dasheng, suddenly stopped.

"What’s wrong?" Sun Dasheng asked.

"I think my mom’s back," Wu Xiaoli said, her already flushed face turning an even deeper shade of red. Doing this in broad daylight, and being overheard by her mother, was rather embarrassing.

"Oh, is that all? I thought it was something serious. So what if she’s back? Let’s continue."

Sun Dasheng was right in the middle of it and in no mood to let her stop. Seeing her remain still, he flipped her over.

"Ngh!"

Wu Xiaoli was caught completely off guard.

"You’ll be the death of me! I told you my mom is back! Can we just stop for a bit and continue tonight? Please?"

Sun Dasheng didn’t give her a chance to say another word, silencing her with his lips. He floored the accelerator and merged back onto the highway. The presence of someone outside made the car race even faster. If he weren’t such a skilled old hand, they might have ended up in a fiery wreck.

「At five in the afternoon.」

There was a knock on the bedroom door.

"Xiaoli, Da Sheng, wake up! Come out for dinner," Mother Wu’s voice called from the other side of the door.

"We know, Mom! We’re coming right out."

Wu Xiaoli, still lying in bed, pushed the man beside her. "Get up, it’s time to eat. If we don’t go out now, my mom is going to come in and rip the covers off."

They got up, washed up quickly, and then pushed open the bedroom door. As soon as they came out, they were greeted by Mother Wu’s smiling face.

"Da Sheng, you’re here! Auntie made all your favorite dishes today. Hurry and wash your hands so you can eat."

Wu Xiaoli glanced at the dishes on the table and complained, "Mom, who’s your real child, me or him?"

Mother Wu slapped her daughter’s hand playfully. "Go get a towel for Da Sheng so he can wash up and eat."

"See? I told you he’s your real son."

Although Wu Xiaoli complained about her mother’s ’preferential treatment,’ she was secretly thrilled. She pulled out a chair for him, letting him sit down. Then she filled a bowl with rice and placed it in front of him.

"My mom really does treat you like her own son. She made all your favorite dishes. She knows perfectly well I hate cilantro, yet every single dish is full of it," Wu Xiaoli ’grumbled’ as she sat down beside him.

Sun Dasheng picked up his bowl and chopsticks and said to Mother Wu, who was sitting across from them, "Thank you, Auntie. I love all of these dishes."

Then he turned to the woman beside him. "I’m the guest, after all. It’s a rare treat for me to have such a delicious meal. You, her daughter, get to eat Auntie’s amazing cooking every day. What’s there to complain about?"

Mother Wu laughed and placed a large chicken leg in Sun Dasheng’s bowl. "Da Sheng, that’s what I like to hear. Here, eat more. You’ve used up a lot of energy, so you need to refuel."

She added, "Young people have great stamina, but you can’t be reckless just because you’re healthy. You still need to take care of yourselves."
