Chapter 118: Chapter 84: Tie Clip 6
Oulos cut off the signal to the villa.
John was responsible for physically dealing with the hunk of metal.
When he opened the package, he saw an intelligent sniper rifle folded inside.
[Weapon: Messiah - Queen Bee]
[Module: Silent Firing, Ballistic Calibration, EMP Isolation]
Rather than calling it a sniper rifle, it’s more like a mobile turret.
When set up, it truly resembled a fat-headed bee, with the muzzle being a huge cylinder.
A small hole was opened in the middle.
John gripped the gun handle, his artificial eye smoothly integrated into the aiming system—the entire villa became transparent to him, each robot individually marked out, accompanied by auxiliary parameters to aid aiming.
Whoosh!
When he pulled the trigger, he barely heard a sound, just a faint wind-breaking tail end.
But the recoil was terrifyingly strong.
John was almost suffocated by the hunk of metal.
He could clearly see a robot being nearly dismembered, twitching as it fell into a corner of the courtyard, the sound of its fall drawing attention from other devices who converged on the scene.
He saw the red data beside them get overridden.
The equipment status was changed to silent, without alerting the security system.
John fired with confidence, clearing the courtyard of robots, then repacked the weapon and folded it back into the package.
"A sniper rifle can be this silent?"
"The bullets are custom designed, not yet mass-produced, I just borrowed some from the lab for temporary use."
Oulos shrugged.
They crossed the courtyard together, all the surveillance cameras turning green, even the access control system welcomed them.
Ten minutes later.
The noise of a hovercar grew closer from afar.
A man hurried through the corridor, the automatic door opening to reveal Oulos sitting on the couch with her legs crossed.
Before her, a pizza was freshly heated in the microwave.
"You..."
Thud, thud.
John held a butterfly knife, two bodyguard corpses at his feet, turning to scrutinize the man before him.
He was tall and upright, dressed in a suit, a striped suit paired with a pure black silk tie.
A row of small diamonds adorned the metal tie clip.
"Phew, first time meeting, John..."
The tie clip just began to speak.
An avatar seemingly jumped out in John’s mind, with the microphone symbol bouncing behind it — this familiar voice.
"You... Sangma Rebi Pool!"
John reversed the knife grip, striking him hard on the cheek, blood spattering around the table.
"The cyber monitors shot right through my stomach, right here, I’ve got to let you know what it’s like to be pierced by a bullet!"
Oulos frowned, losing her desire to eat pizza.
The tie clip’s teeth were knocked out, his mouth filled with blood, he staggered to stand but managed to laugh twice.
"F*ck, how dare you say that? You’re the one who started this mess, had me check on Tiebang Logistics, pushed me into the fire, offended clients who were being monitored when they went out..."
The tie clip slumped on the sofa, looking up.
"You’re Oulos, right? Stupid b*tch, pulling this kind of stunt just to snatch business, can’t we cooperate instead?"
"No, you’re not qualified."
Oulos smiled calmly, sitting cross-legged, wearing a white shirt, holding a glass filled with warm water.
The invisible pressure was suffocating the tie clip.
The crafty fish surfaced to breathe.
Oulos had already aimed the gun at him.
John was that bullet.
"Since we’re all clever people, as a token of venting, I suggest you break his right side’s joints, because the left side’s been modified, the pain might not be as intense."
Oulos spoke with a calm tone.
The tie clip’s eyes widened as the opposing party, in a few words, revealed an understanding of him.
"F*ck... you b*stard... ah!"
Bang, bang.
John didn’t think too much, just raised the revolver and fired two shots, the large-caliber bullets severing joints directly.
In an instant, blood flowed abundantly.
Oulos raised her foot, kicking a medical box on the table towards him.
"Here, prepared it all for you, treat yourself quickly to avoid bleeding out."
"You... might as well kill me!"
"Fine."
Oulos leaned back.
John immediately raised the gun towards his head, but the tie clip instinctively raised his hand to block.
Oulos burst out laughing, pointing at her own eyes.
"You’ve inquired about me, you should know, you can’t lie in front of me, if you don’t want to die, you’ll have to cooperate obediently. According to the order, John goes first..."
The tie clip’s face turned ashen.
He clenched his teeth, cold sweat streaming down, applied hemostatic agent on himself, used medical tape to bind the joints and stop the bleeding.
John spoke.
"The stuff you found out, hand it over to me!"
"Fu... huh~ what’s the meaning, isn’t the so-called list just a trap?"
"Trap? For whom, you? Don’t flatter yourself, you Shark Coin, hand over the list of employees involved in that transport."
John’s tone was unfriendly.
The tie clip glanced at John, then stared at Oulos.
"You don’t know yourself? Ha, haha, fine!"
The tie clip’s artificial eye flickered briefly, then he rolled up his suit to reveal dense external ports all over his ribcage.
He pulled out a storage chip and tossed it over.
John caught it.
The item was slightly warm, inducing an indescribable nausea.
"What about you? Stupid b*tch!"
The tie clip trembled all over, yet his tone was fierce.
Oulos spread her hands.
"There’s a data hub underground in this villa, I want your access key and decryption algorithm."
"You want to take my life, that’s impossible!"
"Then you should just die, just one bullet, all I have to do is send your corpse photo out, along with a video of burning the hub, and see how many people in Eden City will want to have a wild party to celebrate."
"What’s the difference then!"
Oulos just smiled.
"As long as you give it to me, you can leave this villa alive, as long as you’re alive, there’s still a chance, understand?"
"Hehe."
The tie clip sneered in exasperation.
He didn’t believe the two would let him leave, but Oulos appeared sincere.
She put down her glass, rose and held down John’s gun.
"I’d rather not say than lie, as long as you give me the client data, you can definitely leave alive... by then, you’ll be enemies with all the celebrities and dignitaries in Eden City, they’ll stop at nothing to hunt you down..."
The tie clip shivered slightly.
Oulos’s artificial eye flickered, spreading her hands with a smile.
"See, this is the price of deception, you must pay for your actions, but it’s also your only chance to survive!"
