Chapter 747 Thoughts on Miss Ning

The woman possessed a calming aura that inexplicably reassured people.

It was as if, should he become agitated, merely coming here and seeing her would bring him peace of mind.

Days passed without him realizing it. His body itself felt the dramatic changes, and all credit was hers.

He didn't speak to disturb her. After entering the courtyard, he directly sat down at the stone table. A young maid saw this and wanted to go remind Yun Shu, but he stopped her.

The young maid suddenly felt that their young master looked at Miss Ning with such tenderness?

She then thought that their young master seemed to be gentle with everyone, and Miss Ning’s medical skills were superb, with the young master’s condition improving daily. He must trust and be friendly towards Miss Ning.

Yun Shu had actually sensed someone behind her, but she hadn't finished preparing the medicinal herbs. She prioritized the herbs.

Once the herbs were ready, she turned to Zhen Lin.

"Young Master Zhen."

Seeing Yun Shu look towards him, Zhen Lin knew she had sensed his arrival and smiled, "I came suddenly, did I disturb you?"

Yun Shu smiled and said it was fine, "It's a good opportunity to take your pulse and check on your condition these past two days."

Upon hearing that he needed a pulse check, Zhen Lin’s mood became unexpectedly tense. He feared that his recovery wasn't going well, which would disappoint her, or perhaps that he needed to pay attention to something.

He never imagined that one day he would fear someone taking his pulse.

After so many years and so many people examining him, this was the first time.

As her cool fingertips landed on his wrist, his heart skipped a beat, and his breathing hitched.

Yun Shu lowered her eyes, concentrating.

She took in all of Zhen Lin's pulse readings.

Seeing Yun Shu's silence, Zhen Lin’s heart tightened again.

He couldn't believe that even now, he could be unsettled by someone's silence, even feeling that his distress over Ning De's matters these past two days was an overreaction.

"You've recovered well. We'll change the prescription today," Yun Shu said, her voice slightly low.

Upon hearing the word "well," Zhen Lin visibly felt a sense of relief.

"I can feel it too. Every morning when I wake up, my condition is much better than the day before," Zhen Lin said.

Yun Shu nodded, "It should be so. Young Master, please wait here for me. I'll go inside to write the prescription."

"Okay."

Zhen Lin watched Yun Shu enter the room. The direction he was facing allowed him to see her diligently writing the prescription.

He found himself staring, lost in thought, for an unknown amount of time.

He completely missed the movements around him.

He didn't notice Princess Ning De approaching.

When Princess Ning De walked over, she saw her brother staring blankly at a certain spot. At first, she didn't pay much attention. When she got closer and followed her brother's gaze, she saw Ning Ruan writing the prescription.

She had never seen her brother look at a woman so intently, and Ning Ruan was the first.

Princess Ning De was shocked by her discovery!

Before, she had liked Lin Qingluo because she considered Lin Qingluo her savior. However, her brother's gaze towards Ning Ruan now was different!

Therefore!

Now that she understood romantic feelings and what it meant to admire someone, Princess Ning De was very clear that her brother liked Ning Ruan!

It was the kind of liking men had for women! And she had to admit, Ning Ruan indeed possessed medical skills that many other women couldn't match.

Moreover, when facing noble families like theirs, her attitude was neither humble nor arrogant.

At times, some of the things Ning Ruan said made people listen attentively, and even subconsciously lowered their guard in her presence.

But...

But Ning Ruan was engaged.

She thought of her current situation with Prince Jin, and she knew firsthand the pain they had endured.

Therefore, she didn't want her brother to go through all that.

When Yun Shu put down her brush, Zhen Lin realized his gaze had wandered for too long. He quickly averted his eyes.

As he retracted his gaze, he saw Ning De.

Instantly, a flicker of panic crossed his face.

Had Ning De seen him looking at Ning Ruan uncontrollably just now?

"Ning De, why are you here?" He lowered his head, picked up a teacup, and took a few sips of tea, somewhat to mask his feelings.

Ning De didn't expose Zhen Lin. Instead, she sat down and said, "I happened to be free today and wanted to ask Miss Ning about my brother's condition. It seems Miss Ning has already seen him?"

Zhen Lin secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, Ning De didn't press further. "Yes, I've seen him. She said he's recovering well."

"That's good! I was worried about my brother's health these past two days. It seems Miss Ning's medical skills are truly remarkable." Ning De was delighted.

Although she was still contemplating whether to tell her brother certain things about Miss Ning, it didn't stop her from being happy for him.

After several days, her brother's recovery was absolutely astonishing and impressive!

Yun Shu walked out of the room with the written prescription and saw Princess Ning De there. She smiled faintly, "Your Highness is here too."

"I originally intended to inquire about my brother's condition, but it seems he beat me to it. My brother just mentioned that Miss Ning said he's recovering well," Princess Ning De replied with a smile, standing up.

She began to observe Ning Ruan with a scrutinizing gaze.

Although her appearance wasn't outstanding, her demeanor was unique.

Moreover, without realizing it, she could easily make people overlook her plain appearance.

She could even make people have absurd thoughts, believing that the Ning Ruan before them possessed a beauty as peerless as Prince Jin.

"He has indeed recovered well, as I predicted. However, he needs to rest and not expend too much energy going forward, as it could have some impact," Yun Shu replied.

Upon hearing "expend too much energy," Princess Ning De suddenly thought of the events of the past two days. It seemed her brother had indeed been worrying her.

She immediately said to Zhen Lin, "Miss Ning is right. You truly need to take more care and not expend energy. If anything comes up, brother, leave it to me. I'll handle it. Your health is the priority now."

"Okay." Zhen Lin smiled gently, knowing what Ning De was thinking.

Yun Shu looked at the brother and sister, who were clearly concerned for each other, and thought, their sibling bond is truly strong.

A moment later, Zhen Lin and Princess Ning De departed.

The siblings walked together along a small path in the manor.

"Brother, were you just looking at Miss Ning?" Princess Ning De asked in a low voice.

Zhen Lin's footsteps abruptly stopped, and he looked at Ning De, "It's not what you think, Ning De."

"Does brother know what I'm thinking?" Princess Ning De couldn't help but smile.

It was the first time she had seen her brother so flustered.

Once a person's heart harbors a thought, they become nervous, fearing it will be discovered.

"Ning De, I don't want to cause any trouble for Miss Ning," Zhen Lin said in a deep voice.

Princess Ning De nodded with a smile, "Brother, I know what you're worried about. However, I need to tell you something about Miss Ning."
