Chapter 34 The Strife of the Anomalies

Hai Changfeng accelerated his pace and arrived at the Nangang cargo port.

The port was closer to the sea and had suffered even more severe damage.

Most of the containers were in disarray from the tornado, with some flattened.

However, fortunately, the warehouse remained mostly intact.

This was because ports were usually the most vulnerable areas during typhoons, and the construction standards for the facilities here were extremely high.

After searching for a while, Hai Changfeng spotted his warehouse from a distance.

"I see it, it's right there!"

"We all see it!"

The head of the yacht had burst through the roof of the warehouse, impaling itself on top.

The sight was incredibly striking!

Chang Kaitong had broken down the main gate.

The assault boats and speedboats inside were undamaged, with only the yacht's bow hitting the warehouse roof.

Chang Kaitong used magnetic attraction to slowly lower the yacht from the roof, placing it directly into the water.

An Nuan inspected it and said, "The performance is good, but the outer shell is scratched. It might not last long."

"Then we'll take it this time. If it breaks, we'll just abandon it."

Hai Changfeng felt no heartache.

Now that they were in the apocalypse, he no longer expected to make money.

Being able to help was his greatest wish.

An Nuan agreed with his suggestion.

She first stored the remaining items into her spatial dimension and then boarded the yacht.

The yacht was originally scheduled to be delivered to a buyer before the National Day in October, so Hai Changfeng had already filled it with fuel.

They could set off immediately.

Hai Changfeng took them to the location of the icebreaker.

The surrounding area was a mess, and the icebreaker was stuck between two metal frames.

Fortunately, it didn't seem to have suffered extensive damage, only requiring replacement of the glass and some minor repairs to the hull.

An Nuan directly absorbed the items into her spatial dimension and then piloted the yacht towards Qian Hong Department Store.

She didn't specifically search for cargo in the containers.

However, whenever she encountered something blocking their path, she would open it up to take a look.

Tables and chairs were of no use, so she didn't take any.

But she did come across several large freezers containing imported frozen seafood and fruits.

Most of it had spoiled, but a portion was still good and edible.

An Nuan took the opportunity to replenish her small spatial dimension.

"We'll have a feast tonight."

"Xiao Nuan, you're the boss! Everyone hold on tight, I'm going to speed up!"

The yacht's engine roared to its maximum, kicking up a spray of water.

The engine sputtered a couple of times, and everyone clearly felt the propeller snagging on something.

Luoluo: "Could it be a cockroach?"

"Who cares? As long as it's not us!"

"Brother, you really don't act like a high school student!"

Chang Kaitong chuckled and leaned out of the cockpit window to admire the scenery.

He had never been on a yacht before, and to experience it for the first time while sightseeing in the apocalypse felt truly special.

"Meow!"

Daizi suddenly broke free from Luoluo's embrace and began spitting furiously towards the rear, its fur standing on end.

Juanzi also emitted a low growl from its throat.

An Nuan grabbed a bone-cutting knife and walked over.

Bang!

The rear door was smashed open, and a sharp head desperately tried to force its way in.

Luoluo screamed in terror, "Oh my god! A giant rat!"

Juanzi unleashed a laser eye, piercing the rat through and sending it falling off the boat.

Chang Kaitong quickly secured the door.

Everyone looked outside, their faces turning pale.

A dense swarm of grayish-white rats, ranging from the size of a fist to as large as Golden Retrievers, filled the water.

The largest one in the center was estimated to be the size of a camel.

Its pair of black eyes emitted a red glow.

"Sister Nuan, it looks like we've encountered a Rat King!"

"Brother, how can you be so calm? Those are rats! Rats!"

First a swarm of cockroaches, and now a horde of rats.

Good heavens, their luck was truly exceptional today! httpδ:/m.kuAisugg.nět

Luoluo's goosebumps were so intense they felt like they were about to leave her body.

An Nuan, however, remained unfazed.

She had never been afraid of such creatures before, and the mutated species of the apocalypse were even more terrifying. These creatures were merely larger than before and had evolved gills that allowed them to breathe underwater.

These were not the main issue.

The problem was their sheer numbers!

An Nuan's "Starry Sky Devour" could deal with thirty zombies at once, but the rat swarm was overwhelming, estimated to be close to two hundred.

They had been hiding underwater, likely drawn out by the scent of "Fatty's" blood.

She was now worried about what other things might be lurking beneath the water and would follow.

"Sister Nuan, be careful."

A fist-sized rat lunged at An Nuan, but Chang Kaitong zapped it away with an electric baton.

An Nuan smelled the scent of singed fur.

Juanzi's lasers swept across the water's surface, killing a patch of mutated rats, leaving their corpses floating on the water.

However, this had no effect on their advance.

Whenever the Rat King was threatened, a group of its subordinates would launch a suicidal attack to protect their leader.

An Nuan chuckled, "Quite united! How about we try this?"

She pulled out two high-voltage cables from her spatial dimension.

Luoluo used her vines to wrap around the bottom of the boat, creating an insulating barrier.

An Nuan threw the cables into the water, and the high voltage crackled, causing the rats to shriek in agony.

"Devour!"

A black curtain enveloped the area. An Nuan was surprised.

After shredding over fifty mutated rats, she obtained a crystal!

An Nuan exclaimed happily, "How could I forget? Besides zombies, mutated creatures also have crystals in their bodies!"

"Then let's kill them all? We need to collect crystals anyway!"

Chang Kaitong retracted the cables, signaling them to move closer.

An Nuan's "Starry Sky Devour" and Chang Kaitong's magnetic attraction instantly eliminated over sixty rats.

However, this time, luck was not on their side, and no crystals were obtained.

An Nuan called out, "Luoluo, can you weave a net with your vines to catch them all?"

"I, I'll try!"

Luoluo mustered her courage, took a deep breath, and activated her ability, weaving a giant net underwater to ensnare them.

The Rat King let out a roar, and the rat swarm opened their mouths and began gnawing at the net.

Luoluo's vine regeneration speed couldn't keep up with the rats' gnawing.

Luoluo was struggling, "Xiao Nuan, I can't hold on much longer! Am I going to die?"

"Don't worry, I won't let you die before me!"

Not in this life, absolutely not!

"Daizai!"

Daizi rushed out from behind, puffed up its cheeks, and spat a stream of cat fire onto the water's surface.

The rat swarm shrieked as they were burned. An Nuan seized the opportunity and used her ability to clear a batch of rats, obtaining another crystal.

However, the most important target, the Rat King, escaped.

It was highly intelligent and, realizing Daizai was spitting fire, it retreated underwater to avoid the flames.

Daizai spat several fireballs into the water but couldn't hit it, letting out a frustrated whine.

Rumble…

An Nuan suddenly felt a chill as something in the water struck the hull.

"Get inside, let's go!"

Everyone retreated into the yacht. Hai Changfeng focused on steering, quickly moving them away from the area.

"Xiao Nuan, what is that!"

Luoluo saw a coiled object emerge from the water, entwining itself around the Rat King.

The rat swarm, in an attempt to save their leader, began fighting the new assailant.

The thing's head emerged from the water, and everyone felt a chill run down their spines.

A snake! A giant snake!
